Post 3 of this page, you clearly asked for:

I did not bring this up, you asked for it.

I am going to ask Jagex for help and ignore all your nonsense from this point on.

But you were the one who brought up NDAs in the first place...

Hiya,

I don't quite understand what the issue is, but please give Dilbert2001 a break. He is not an employee of Jagex and I am unsure if he has ever signed any NDA's with us.

However, lots of players do sign NDA's with Jagex, if they visit the office or take part in focus groups etc - I would know this as I often give them out from a Community perspective for in-house testing as well as outsources focus groups (we have recently been hosting tests in San Fransisco and New York in the USA as well as Leed and London in the UK).

If the targeted abuse continues, I'll have to investigate further which may involve forum bans.

Thanks,

Mod Meadows.

Do people really understand marketing?

If Umbral Chests were so bad and nobody bought them, Jagex would not have used them in their promotions.

Obviously, Jagex found Umbral Chests good for their marketing campaigns and the integrity of the games so they put more of them in their other promotions.

Same thing with xp lamps/stars... if you hate them so much just don't buy them. If nobody buy them there will be something else in their slots... however, if other players like and buy a lot of them then too bad to you and you just need to accept their existence. :)

Also for the people who go on about inflation I refer you to Mod Timbo - it currently doesn't exist.
Also applying the concept of real world inflation to inflation in a computer game is hilarious unless you aren't actually a person & only exist online.

Video games should absolutely be played for fun. MTX, especially optional MTX, hardly affects the integrity of a game if players have fun with the games. Players come to play the game, they don't come to play MTX. MTX doesn't affect game integrity.

Game integrity is mostly harmed by bad players, regardless they are bots, RWTers, scammers or hired people to annoy good and friendly players or disrupt game play.

Yes, Jagex should pay attention to their game integrity but I see nothing wrong with their current MTX promotions.... just that they have a lot to do with the actual things that affect game integrity.

Also the rest of the thread has been fun to read!

I think Dilbert can handle himself unless it was he who reported it.

Anyway it's been fun!
A load of crap but fun! :D

He was, despite being just as guilty as us in regards to making allegations. That's what makes this so funny. Incidentally, the J-Mod didn't say anything to him because we're apparently "bullying" him, never mind that it's his personality that gets him into these e-altercations. Gee, I wonder why...
