Why have you replaced previous t9 ore (rune) drops with current t5 (rune ore spirit) drops? It doesn't make sense, if you really think about it. For example, Araxxi dropped 50 runite ore (worth 500k) which has been replaced with a drop of runite ore spirits (worth 50k). A large amount of boss drops are now only 10-15% of the worth of their previous price.. Something needs to be done about this. My suggestion would be rising those drops to match their previous tiers by changing them to light / dark animica spirits, or atleast to t8 bane spirits.

The problem is now that PvM has been dealt a huge blow, since the ore spirits are worthless. Recently, a friend and I went to Nex, and accumilated a total of 12,000 Coal spirits. They aren't even buying for 1gp, and at the level Nex is supposed to be catered to, coal isn't even used as a secondary ingredient.

With that said, I support. Higher tired bosses should drop Ore Spirits more appropriate to those fighting them.

What if everyone is maxed though
Now what's an unfun environment when you talk to people and see nonsense being said and stuff like that

I think you misunderstood. I meant that bosses should drop Ore Spirits corresponding to the general level and difficulty of said boss. Let me give some examples:

The four standard GWD bosses are killed at around levels 70-80. As such, Necronium and Phasmatite Spirits could work as drop, rather than Coal Spirits.

Nex currently drops Coal Spirits. Since Nex is killed by people with 80+ combat stats, she should drop Bane Ore Spirits.

Solak is (one of) the hardest bosses in the game. As such, he should drop Light and/or Dark Animica Spirits.

As an oddity, the Barrows, although generally easy, should drop Necronium and Phasmatite Spirits, due to the undead theme.

I personally don't think spirits should be dropped by any monster at anytime.

I do however think drop tables need to be improved to reflect that.

I agree with this post and I would also like to add that the buy limit of 100 stone spirits per 4 hours is absurdly low and should be raised to a few thousand, you mine way more than 100 ore in that 4 hours waiting period if you actually wanted to buy them to mine with.

Either some method of converting/transmuting the large amounts of low level stone spirits that high level bosses are dropping, into something more useful.

Or

Remove stone spirits from the boss drop tables altogether.

That's not a solution.

The problem is with the concept of transmuting itself: transmuting is takes the base value of an item (the Jagex-set internal value), and replacing your items with items of the next tier that equal (or closely approximate) the same base value. So previously you'd transmute 6 adamantite ores into 1 runite ore.

If players were transmuting Stone Spirits, the number of Stone Spirits you'd be left with after the transmutation process would be much lower than the number you started-out with. In addition, you'd have to spend a tertiary resource (usually divine energy) to do it.

So let's throw some random numbers in to see how this plays out:

If you kill a boss and it drops 6000 adamantite Stone Spirits, transmuting may turn those into 1000 runite Stone Spirits, and cost you 10k Incandescant Energy. Assuming runite is significantly more valuable than adamantite on the GE (like it was before) this might work out worthwhile.

However what's likely to happen is that the Stone Spirit prices may be much closer together than before, so you'd probably just lose money (and time) converting the Spirits and STILL end up with low-level Spirits. You'd have to repeat the process an exponential amount of times to work your way up to Animica Stone Spirits - and even then, only have a few to actually sell.

If transmuting gave you literally like-for-like amounts of the next tier, people would rarely have a reason NOT to transmute every Spirit they get up to Animica, meaning there would be a rediculous amount of Animica Spirits on the market and very little else - crashing it's value to the floor.
