MTX might bring more profit in the short term, but they're an anti-consumer practice that scares people away and bores the players that stay with tedious grinding to "earn" the MTX rewards, which will sooner or later burn them out.

Membership monetization and pro-consumer decisions will attract new players instead of scaring them away, and keeps the game design focused on fun rather than boring the player into buying MTX, so the existing players will remain happy and keep playing and paying for membership. > )

MTX seems to be bring in the long term money to me as they still make money of vip with it.

I don't have a URL for you but it's been explained on Twitch that in fact it is necessary, there are limitations to the amount of bankspace before it starts causing problems in game, & they are basically at that limit. I don't remember the specifics but after it was explained I understood why they have the system they do.

We have so many more places to store things now other than our bank, & we can even access our POH & Diango from the bank interface, so really I think they've done a great job addressing this.

I was a bit surprised to see your shamelessly transparent begging, that's not normally your style, your post was uninformed & I suspect the reason is you are close to your bankspace cap

I mean - I would be the last one to support increasing bank space to enable uncanny hoarders (and nobody else should actually ever have problems with bank space with the free boosters + a few bought ones on top of that - not to speak of all of them) to continue doing whatever they're doing, but Jagex should either continously increase the bank space available to accomodate new content (both invention and the farm caused a big hit of the space available shorty after their releases for instance) - or find alternative measures to reduce bank space needed - of which the barn is a great example to be honest. If they can't do the former, they certainly should focus on the latter.

Solutions are simple enough: Add more fitting items to the tool belt, make certain items redundant by learning their abilities passively (would be a possible reward for content in addition, basically stuff like charming or animal tongue - works akin to ghostspeak or seeing into the shadow realm) improve may (remote access from the bank and more items added), improved material banks (more materials + remote access from the bank), extending the costume room...

RS3 has been declining in the player numbers steadily for years now; I shouldn't have to explain to you why that's bad for the long term health of the game, as it should be common sense that a long term decline isn't a good long term scenario.

If Jagex stopped nickel & diming the playerbase, that long term decline could easily change to a long term growth instead. And that's a healthy long term scenario. > )

They could give all members max bank space, just not more than that.

Yet whos to say we're not already there if not close to it?

Umm...?

The maximum available bank space is what the game can run per player, so you could give that to every player and the game would do just fine. The issue would only occur if the maximum per-player bank space was increased and someone put it to use, crashing the game.

Storage barm for animals is WAAAAAAAAAAAAY too small even after it having 30 spots.

Make it, so people can store at least male and female of each breed of the animal.(Noahs ark yadayadaya...) The way it is right now annoying, because half of your animals are in the bank and half of them are in the barm. I'm not sure how many unique breeds of animals there are not including the shinies but multiply it by 2 and add that as the barm space.

There is literally no reason to keep ONE animal of each breed after you completed the respective collection and you've got a setup, which is able to breed shinies every once in a while. Not even to speak of a pair of each breed.
