People managed to get more than 150m summoning exp in a single day during BXPW.
This is somewhat the fastest skill out there. An extra day or 2 on top of the 2000 hours, shouldn't be a problem. Players that play at a slower pace, can aim for an extra 2-4 days.
So yea, I do not see the problem.

And since people have to get 120 slayer for their comp capes, they should have enough charms anyway or close to.

Or we could just remove bxp weekends rather than revolve the game around them. Pretty disgusting they let bxp weekends ruin that skill in the first place. No achievement in levelling that skill. Might aswell bot.

Its not fast. You have to factor in the time it takes to collect charms. Since we were promised that skills would not go to 120, there was no point in doing so after 99. So you can't say that people at 120 slayer should have enough charms for 120 summoning.

Further, we are in a state of economy where there is too much money to spend and not too many items to spend them on (thanks invention). 120 summoning is going to be another items sink. Only a portion will be offset by the cost of shards.

And finally, we already have 99 levels worth of familiars. Most are not used. Looking at 120 slayer, I doubt we will get anything worthwhile to use. Knowing jagex, it will be another 5% buff to whatever skill they deem fit at a cost of 100m to obtain. Most likely we are gonna get 2 new sprites with 10 different colours to fill 100-120 gap. They will become the new meta for slayer and bossing while old 99 familiars will be obsolete. But in turn, they will not provide such a massive benefit as yaks, unicorns or steel titans did on release.

Tell me again why is the skill not complete already and why should it be raised? There is so much uncertainty in the poll, that I am more than certain we will not be getting anything more but a devaluation of a 1-99 summoning in the first place.

This is the issue with raising skills to 120, and this is exactly why people don't want jagex to raise the cap in the first place. Time and time again we are told that it will not happen. Time and time again we are told "sorry, but we don't want to move the goal post to 120, lets just keep it cosmetic". So just do it. Keep it cosmetic and invent new skills to train. Start working on other massive projects we suggested.

I hate summoning skill, and its training method. So why do you think I would ever support it to go up to 120? I don't want people to suffer even to 99.

Seeing Invention back then and dungeoneering even now 8 years after its release I was extremely on the fence on seeing slayer to be extended to 120, as the two other skills failed to provide meaningful features for the higher levels. If it wasn't for a few cosmetics and improved rate of obtaining tokens the use of dungeoneering currently would end at level 90. The sole thing that goes past that is the motherlode dungeon, but otherwise the skill that introduced level 120 has actually no real reason to go thus far as half the levels are empty levels anyway. Likewise with invention until the release of batch 2.

Seeing on the other hand slayer was implemented properly (it doesn't just provide a quite decently filled level range 100-120, it even filled up some gaps below 99) and invention as of now, I could imagine summ 120 could be enriching... I just hope it will be more than just better variants of existing familiars.

Oh is it fast to collect twice as many charms and spend twice the money? Who trains outside of bxp weekends? Ruined skill. I mean I hear they are throwing shit at the wall but it's just annoying. At least do proper funking combat 120s before this shit.

Jagex should instead focus on making an elite skill out of summoning... like Necromancy or Shapeshifting or Beastmaster.

I'm not completly against 120 summoning but i can see why some people dislike the idea. The game is getting easier everyday, maxing out is becoming a more common thing nowadays. putting some 120s in the game would actually help the people that haven't reached that far yet in a skill.

Tbh i think the elite skill suggestion would benefit the community more, create an elite summoning skill that forces the player to take 1 of 3 possible paths, have the power to command the dead and summon the dead, use dark magics and other similiar stuff OR have the power to shapeshift, change your appearence to other things by infusing yourself with them like elementals, wildlife animals and vegetation and even objects, making you have control of many things in the game and fight with those things. OR follow the path of the beastmaster, which is the original next step in the line of true summoning, gives you the ability to combine summons and have more than once summon active that isn't of the same type, further develop summon commands so we can use them with more precision. Requirements for each path would be different based on a different combination of skills.
Like Necromancy could be related to prayer, magic and summoning. Shapeshifting could be invention, magic and summoning. Beastmaster could be constitution, hunter and summoning.

Thus just because it might take a while to get to 120, still doesnt mean it shouldnt get raised.

I see loads of announcements of ppl getting 99/120 sum outside of bxp.
