scousysaid: When ed2 comes out don't bring any items before traveling there and make sure there are no lures. Test out the max guild portal and group tele. Ask someone to kick you from the group to see if you get kicked into the wilderness. Just a warning! You can teleport directly to the peninsula. There's also a bank chest right outside the dungeon, so if you want to run through the Wilderness naked to get there, and grab your stuff from the chest right before you enter, you can.
Wilderness lures are bound to be attempted, but if players are of sufficient high-level to be attempting ED2, they should surely have played long enough already to not fall for those kind of things. The only real risk concerns glitches, but since you can go there naked and equip yourself right in front of the door, the glitch would need to occur between the bank chest and the entrance.
This isn't a case of newbies arriving at Varrock for the first time, ED2 will only attract experience players. And if you're an experienced player and *still* fall for an obvious lure, then scummy or not it's on you.
The entrance to the peninsula from the Wilderness is literally copy/pasted from Daemonheim. It's literally the same gate being used, so it's just as safe and the same rules apply - you cannot enter the peninsula while you're in combat in the Wilderness for example, and you'll have to confirm you really want to leave if exiting from the other side.

Good to know Uncle Pob. I was worried about repeating the release of the Abyss/brimhaven dungeon (where metal dragons turned on all at once and flame broiled us).Mi nombre es El Muchalito Grande, El Burro de Tres Patas!
