Forum Moderator Appreciation!

Dear Forum Moderators,

I have created this thread for the entire community to use to post their appreciation on your hard work. You've done a lot for us in the past, present and i'm sure you've still got a lot to do for us in the future!

A lot of the moderators don't get appreciated for their work and it could be down to many reasons. I thought it would be a nice way to show them that sure, there may be a few people who don't agree with what you do but there is also many people who do appreciate you for what you do!

I hope you appreciate all the comments that are posted!

A tribute to Forum Moderators

Original message details are unavailable.
I awoke this fine Canadian morning to the sounds of a Roohster crowing. It was bright and sunny outside, an improvement from the Dark Moon that had been in the sky earlier. At least the Autumn Stars were pretty. I did a little Jyggy to wake myself up and was impressed with my dance moves as usual. I gazed out the window and admired the Mist Rising off the ground. It was a scene of pure Tranquility I also noticed an attractive Canada Grrl going for a jog and admired her for a bit. Next, I headed to the bathroom to use the toilet. My Wiz In Me left my body and filled the bowl. Another successful bladder evacuation completed, I dubbed myself the Wizbaws.

I went downstairs for breakfast: delicious B A CON and orange juice in a Krystl glass. I like to read while eating, so I picked up a doctor S euss book and enjoyed it. I flipped on the TV to catch the news and was happy to see news of a beach Whale being rescued and put back into the ocean. I checked the internet to see how heavy whales are. Google Says they can weigh up to 80,000 kg!

As I went outside to get the newspaper, I noticed that the Twillow tree I was growing seemed to look a little sickly. I called up my Treemaid and she promised to fix it for me today. Back inside, my friend called me up and kept Darren me to ask out the girl I liked. I told him to Leta guy have some peace and quiet and promptly hung up...

Next it was time for my karate class. As I arrived, I bowed to my Senseo and began training. My opponent was a fierce robot named I Borg. I went all Legolas on its ass and won a quick victory. Some Mageguy also tried to challenge me, but since there are no magic powers in real life, his DarkMagic was useless and I Raaffed in his face and Schu’d him away. I felt pretty good about my skills after this, but the karate master told me I still needed to Trenmor if I wanted to defeat him.

I hope you enjoyed my story. I’m not crazy, it was just for fun. I’m not A Mad Hatter or anything.

PS I like Mexkin food

Thank you for the insight, Lou. It may not have just been that Forum Moderator though and I'm sure other may have felt the same way. Though, like they said they wouldn't have expressed it. Probably for your reason. Who knows.

I think a new start is a good thing anyway and clear up whatever can be cleared up. Hopefully it's all even and equal now and it's most certainly a lot easier for me to maintain as well. :)

Thank you everyone who has recently posted, I'm sure the compliments will be taken very well by the Forum Moderators.

Autumn, I've had 3 of these threads now and you've never come across it? I think I've had Forum Moderator Appreciation under my name for about 2 years nearly? Think it took a year for the first one to get maxed. The second one didn't get maxed, but was closed as other Forum Moderators felt left out as many others were getting more compliments than others. So I changed it all to look better and make people feel less like they're appreciated.

Don't forget that all Moderators are respected and appreciated!

I would also like to thank everyone for keeping this thread going whilst I've been inactive for a few days here and there. I really appreciate it and I hope this thread continues even if I do end up leaving forever!

That was a very nice compliment. :) I feel the exact same to you Fate, many reasons why I could say I hate mods for certain reasons but each individual have their reasons to stand out. They all have great aspects, even if people don't want to admit it.

I'm glad that they're around but there are times I wish they'd leave.

We need them and I'm grateful for them being here.

Thank you again for posting and Aeon clearly appreciated the compliment! :)

This thread has been going for a good 2-3 years now I think, I've lost track. I'm glad to have made somewhere for people to say thank you to them, they do deserve it whether we have different opinions on various ones than others.

Thank you both for posting, I'm sure they'll appreciate your compliments! :)

I wasn't on when the servers were down, though I have been many times in the past an you all did a wonderful job handling it. Just like you probably all did this time round.

I just wanted to leave a comment to all you Forum Moderators, old and new. We may have had problems with each other in the past and maybe some in the present. Though, I just wanted to say that I'm sorry for any incidents for some of you that have had to experience against me. I hope that it can all be put aside!

I say this because recently, the Forums have certainly been cleared up a lot by a certain few Moderators and they've all done a wonderful job keeping an eye on it all to prevent it from getting to out of hand. I am very grateful for that and I hope it stays that way.

Thank you again, all of you. :)

Thank you for posting, Accomplishes. I'm sure they'll be happy to know there are still people thinking about them for all the great work they did around here. I remember a fair few of them and they were amazing Forum Moderators. It's a shame to see some of them gone, but we have been given many more.

Red-Defen3r, please note that this is not the correct place to vent. If you think that Ms Toxicity has wrongfully locked your thread, then feel free to report her here: Moderation Review Thread. A Jagex Moderator will review the situation and will re-do the action if necessary. This is not the place to bad-mouth Moderators, so please don't post such content on my thread, thank you.

Would just like to say a thank you to these specific Forum Moderators: Mexk, Trenmor and Canada Grrl - You guys have done great dealing with late night situations around the Forums, which is wonderful! It's certainly something the Forums have needed for a while. Late night Forum Moderators (or Moderators in different time zones).

I know you've been around a while, though I've certainly seen a little bit more improvement with activity with a certain few Forum Moderators through the night then there use to be.

Keep it up. :)

I would also like to thank the moderators who are working extra hard tonight, to deal with all the threads about the current in-game item problem. It's not fun having a Forum spammed by a certain topic - many others get themselves involved and more spam and trolls join in.

Keep up the work! It'll be over soon. :P

Dibi has recently been recruited, so that's at least 1 extra. I'm sure they've got thoughts on recruiting me. Especially if they're keeping up with the numbers they had previously to recruitment and cleaning of other Forum Moderators (I don't know if they are sticking to that number though).

Arguable.

As for recruitment, give them time. They do have to train them up to get the familiar with the Forums and the tools they have, which does take time for them to actually do so. Recruitment has really only just started up again with the Forum Moderators - I'm sure we'll see some new faces.

Though, it would be nice to see some people in other time-zones whilst Americans and English people are asleep/getting up (heading the work or school).

Would just like the thank everyone for posting. I'm sure the compliments will be appreciated! I also think this is the first time out of all my versions I've had that I've had a Jagex Moderator post on the thread too. (ticks off achievement).

I would just also like to announce that this thread has been running for a solid 4 years! I was scrolling through the thread to find the original date (as I remember I managed to find the date of the original thread I created) and it was created on the 18th February, 2010

Thank you everyone who has participated in every version and have shown the Moderators that they are appreciated! I'm sure it's lightened up many of their days when they've come across this thread and I hope to keep it going in the future too. :)

Wanted to congratulate the Moderators who have recently been recruited too - I haven't congratulated them properly, so I'll do it here. I hope you provide the Forums with what we need. We'll see what the future brings.

Thank you to everyone who has recently posted on the thread too! It appears to be very appreciated, which is always a good thing! ^^

I certainly enjoyed some of the responses some the the old Forum Moderators, who are no longer with us, provided. I use to have a laugh with quite a few of them! I remember one time, I intentionally created a thread, just to get it locked and get a funny response out of one of them. Succeed nonetheless. Never forgotten!

Thank you all for putting your time and effort into the community, understanding peoples situations and providing a bit of light when dealing with situations! It's certainly appreciated by many.

Personally, my main driving force is seeing great awesomely written threads.

The more quality threads, the longer I spend time being here is RSOF. I cut short my forum time when I genuinely feel that the thread quality posted that day is very low.

Not everyone is amazing at getting the quality great in a thread! I think, as long as they get the point across of the thread then it's fine! :3

Good to hear, the proposal had common sense as its foundation - it was a piece of cake to support it. It took a while but better late than never.

Oh definitely. I might not be around now to use it for what I was trying to get it uncensored for, but at least it's now uncensored for those who do use it to help others out!

And this is a great legacy that you may left Runescape:)

Yes, we had our innumerable disagreements along the way, but this one proposal that I strongly backed-up from the get-go. All of us one-way-or-another wants legacy with whatever undertaking they do, cheers to this historic legacy, Epicus.:)

Well, there will be people who disagree and people who will agree! Everyone has their reasons but many of those who did disagree still brought up good points. Even if they could be sorted out will a small amount of work, it was still a good point.
