People use friends to get their dye removed from their weapons but my friend said he didn't get my weapon and was saying probably because it wasn't augmented. That's 750m or so down the drain without the dye price included. If people are willing to remove the dye just to get a portion of what the entire thing actually cost, why not make it to where you can go somewhere by yourself to remove the dye but not get the dye back, at the least. I don't understand why it would be made irreversible when the dyes cost a zillion gp to get. I'd be happy if I knew for sure whether or not I got scammed and I'd be happy if there was some way to remove it by yourself in a non-risky method. I put trust in and got nothing back.

I can't comprehend why you would want to remove the dye from an item...such waste.

That being said I don't really get the whole "irreversible" concept. Why not make an item that removes dye? I believe the old poison that you put on daggers and spears could be removed using some cloth or something, seems like the same ought to exist for dyes.

Now realistically, once you dye something I don't think dye normally comes out, but this is a magical world so it doesn't have to obey our physical laws, and even so we could magic the dye out hypothetically.

Once again though why would you want to un-dye something? O_o

Migrating to a better item. Be it due to them newly introduced or just going alongside the existing progression path.

Yeah generally agreed on undying at the cost of the dye.

to sell it?

might of lost all gp you had in a matter of ways. have nothing tradeable except your nox staff that is dyed blood.

120m start up cash again.

or 0 gp?

nonetheless, having a way to remove dye via an npc id support. especially as im sure scams from friends have happened because of this. and support anything that reduce scamming.

obviously shouldnt get dye back makes no sense to

Some people do indeed need start up cash, or decide they rather want to show off their newly T92 than a T90. Regardless of the reason, removing a dye from an item can only happen with trust trading, which naturally has a potential for people to scam one another - sad, but true.

So full support. F2P was given the chance to sell member items, so people "losing membership" no longer have to ask for a trust trade bond 'I'll give it back once I'm member again', but can straight up sell their own items.

Make it simple:

Item: Bolt of Cloth.
Use on Dyed Weapon.
Are you sure you want to permanently remove the dye? Yes.
Are you certain - you will NOT receive the dye. It will be lost. Yes
Member receives undyed weapon without any third party (a friend) being part of the process.
