War of the Magi Part 2: The Ordo Strikes Back

It has been some time after the Ordo Magi's crushing defeat at the hands of Magus and his coalition forces. The loss of the Ordo's fearless leader Ahzek left the group in disarray. The magical world has once again known peace. However from the ashes of defeat the Ordo has risen once more.

Under new leadership the Ordo has reorganized and grown in power. Now ran by a small council of dark magi they set out in secret. Abductions of magical historians has begun all over. The Ordo is now hunting artifacts to bolster their strength so that they might begin their crusade for magical superiority. In the Kharid forces gather among the shifting sands. In Kandarin covens gather deep in the forests and wild lands. Even in Misthalin the Bordeleaux ruins have been plundered. Soon the Ordo will strike.



Welcome to Part 2 of the War of the Magi plot! Come join and have fun. Expect much of the same fun of the last war, but we will be going bigger and badder than before!

Magicks: We will be accepting many different magicks within reason. Please avoid such things as time manipulation and rail gun spells. If you are unsure if your magic is too much please ask.

Plot Characters: There are characters and creatures with a certain degree of "plot armor" and general op powers present. Deal with it. These are your boss encounters.

Races: Yes we will accept your icyene and mahj. However, we do not want this event flooded with mahjarrat and please do not take this as an opportunity to flex your ego. Some events will have "op" races barred from participation.

Game Masters: The GM's word is law. If you cannot adhere to the GM of an event then please do not join. Trust that our GM's will be neutral. We only want to tell a fun story. However we will not manipulate the outcome of the events.

Events: If anyone would like to host an event please approach any of the plot organizers. We are not the only ones who can host things!

Artifacts of Power

The Ordo is on the hunt for artifacts of power. They will stop at nothing to get these.
Some artifacts might have the potential to endanger whole provinces. Others could bolster the power of any mage.


The artifacts listed below are what the Ordo is after. Others may want to claim them for themselves or outright destroy them. Trust that the plot will not hand out deathstars like candy.


The Horn of Dumah: Currently located somewhere in Kandarin. This mystical horn summons a creature mistaken to be an icyene. Saradominist in origin the creature summoned by this item is said to turn all who oppose it to salt.

Crown of Rakaph: Currently located in the Kharid. A mystical crown worn by a corrupted high priest of Icthlarin. The crown gives the wearer the ability to see the dead. They can also use the crown to siphon life from others and give it to themselves.

Glittering Robe of Balthazar Helbrass: Conflicting reports say this item is either somewhere on Crandor or in Relleka. This robe was made by a famous Crandorian mage. The robe is actually a resplendent cape that looks like molten gold. Said to be able to alchemize arrows and blades before they strike true turning them into gold nuggets that harmlessly fall to the ground as the enchantment makes them lose the momentum.

Mentok's Third Eye: Located in the Feldip Hills. This circlet was owned by a crazed mind mage in the fourth age. The circlet allows the wearer to cause mania to people and even cause hallucinations. Prolonged use of this artifact will cause the wearer to go mad, however their power to manipulate minds and number of people affected increases as they slip into madness.

Coins of the Jade Legion: Located on Karamja. The coins summon jade golems that take simple orders.

Artifacts of Power Cont.

Crown of Thorns: Rumored to be located in Taverly. This artifact gives the wearer a vast knowledge of necromancy. However they must endure the pain of the crown's thorns embedding in their skull. It also prevents the wearer from becoming a liche or any kind of undead. It will eventually kill the wearer.

Heart of Xerus: Located in the Kharidian Desert. This giant orb was used to bring a colossal golem to life during the god wars. The magicks used to make it long lost. If placed in a giant clay body it will morph it into it's old form.

Zom Zig Gon: Located in the Kharazi Jungle. Created by dark broodoo witch doctor. This item looks like an odd instrument made from bones, stone, and flesh. When played the wielder can make those who hear the instrument to be put in a trance. The victims seem to act like zombies marching to their master's tune.

Theaters of War

Below is a list of the major theaters of the magi war. Leaders of the locations will be talked to before events happen.

Kandarin: The largest theater of the war. Largely absent in the last war, however the land is littered with potential artifacts. Kharon the Ashbringer leads the Ordo forces here. Currently the Ordo is keeping a low profile as the Kandar war machine is formidable. Even with many dark magi they will eventually be beaten by their armies. Once war assets have been gathered that may change..

Kharid: The second largest concentration of Ordo forces are lying in the desert. Aldaren is leading the Ordo forces in the desert. The forces here are a little more brazen as they have plenty of places to hide from the Caliphate. The Ordo has also gathered allies from cults of amascut in the area.

Fremmenik lands: Only a few camps are hidden in these barbaric lands. Rumors among the mage community is there are some who are planning a crusade of vengeance against the Fremmenik to pay them back for the rune crusades.
