I recently concluded a plotline I had been RPing with a friend on Skype (due to inability to get on RS and said friend not playing RuneScape) which effectively ended House Le'Gaunt and all respective stories, characters around it. I'm mainly posting this as a thread because at this point, I don't know who has a Le'Gaunt, has one related to or cares enough about it.

The plot largely saw the demise of nearly every immediately member of the entire family along with a few other relations and while I understand some people have characters, it wouldn't be fair to expect them all to be killed off, so in-character means were made so I wasn't just auto killing characters - though if anyone wanted their character to die with the majority, then feel free to!

The Family
Simultaneously, every member of the House (those specifically who grew up and received the family blessings and rituals, and one generation of descendants below them regardless of ritual or not) complained of an intense sudden burning pain within their chest, which quickly spread throughout their form. The pain increased to crippling levels and they all dropped dead. There was no physical damage done to any of the bodies, though skilled mages could identify the act of pain was their very souls being destroyed.

For some reason however, it seems not all succumbed to the affliction- thanks to the quick response of a family member - former matriarch Larona- a random amount of family members were saved due to interrupting the very spell that slew the Le'Gaunt (this is the IC reasoning for some people to keep their characters alive for those who want to).

There is no direct form of communication between family and what few members remain seem to be heading off north of Seers to the only standing estate of the family.

The Manor
The impressive fortress in the lands south of Ardougne that stood for centuries had promptly met its end in a rather violent explosion and firestorm that encompassed not only the manor itself but the surrounding nearby farmlands. It seared the land and burnt and destroyed the buildings of the manor into a debris. Though it is worth noting that despite there being nothing left except rubble and mess, the original enchantments and barriers that warded the manor grounds were active still, except without the family rings and magic, access to all seems impossible.

Other holdings and wealth
In what seems to be a strategic and long-term plan of attack upon the House, at the exact same time and within hours afterwards, the wealth and holdings of the Le'Gaunt were quickly attacked and diminished.
The estates in northern Asgarnia and Misthalin were set ablaze, with most staff and guardsmen on site having been either killed or having fled.

The family accounts in the various banks of the kingdoms were promptly seized and frozen, cutting the family off from money, besides that which they already hold.

The remaining estate which has yet to be touched or attacked is Maplewolfe, a small series of houses and manors forming a larger estate in the forests north of Seers' Village.

Aftermath
In the following days as the dust settled and gossip and news began to spread, local gossip and word would speak of a group cloaked in red and gold cloaks, bearing identical pendants - that to most citizens was nothing but to the more academic, they were reminiscent of Amascut's symbol, albeit more warped with a circle that surrounded the Ankh- that popped up around the aforementioned sights at times before and after the apparent attacks.
