I'll get right into my honest heart in this late night ramble by talking about my biggest flaw:

Pride

It took me a while to realize my egotistical nature but I really came to my realizations when I gave away Camelot. I also realized I had become a bit of a hypocrite; disapproving of some certain individuals who had the gall to name roleplays after themselves while simultaneously referring to myself as the 'Elf Lord'

frankly that was all really dumb and ill elaborate on this later in my rant, but for now, some delayed backstory:

When I first acquired Camelot I had a certain dream in mind; an elven state of Camelot, finally providing elf rp that everyone, I believed, was head-over-heels interested in and would be happy to support

My co-leader disagreed, and we all know how this went

How I "emerged" from this arrangement could be argued a number of ways, but I'll delve into a certain topic here when i say i focused on the inside of the RP, acquiring new rpers who went on to back me up and RP within the kingdom, while my then-co-leader focused on acquiring outside sources for RP; cooperation with the other POK's, I'll keep it at that

We both had our disagreements until it popped

As it turns out though, we would never see whose method of creating activity was better, but I can tell you that when my co-leader departed, I was left with a hefty amount of RP'ers within the RP interested in working with me to make activity

A good leader would have used this mega population to create activity, plotlines and interesting scenarios

I had only one thought in mind, one goal; and that was an elven state. Instead of seeing this population as a blessing, I saw it as an obstacle, I thought to myself "How can I get all of these people to let go of their human characters and make elven ones"

This ties in with my downfall; pride

I believed everyone felt the same as I did; surely with the elven population I had, it proved people wanted elf RP. (Continued) --

All I thought about in the end though, was what I wanted. I wanted an elven state, and so I thought, I would have it. I began to lie to people and see them as resources rather than RP buddies.

For that, I am eternally sorry, and ask for your forgiveness; all of you

As Carwyn takes Camelot, based on how her character is developing, it looks like the elven supremacy thing in Camelot is pretty much over; most elf rp will revert to a duchy or two, but that's exactly as it should be.

In the words of a wiser man, elf RP never really worked in the public sphere. It belonged more in family RP's and sometimes even sandbox plotlines.

Will I give up on elf rp? No, but I will never again try to force it on any POK as i did before and had sought to do so for over four years

my closing thoughts are some words of advice for upcoming POK leaders;

don't forget what RP is all about.

Enjoy your RP, distance yourself if you realize it's become stressful or a competition.

Dont be prideful over make believe power, instead be prideful in the works of literature youve completed with your friends

don't forget to have fun either honestly isnt that rule #1
