NOTE: I know that there are a lot of other threads out there on the forums about this subject and I am sorry for making this but I wanted to give my two cents in about this subject.

I don't care if it is Runescape Classic or Old School Runescape Vanilla, just give us one of these please. I and some other die hard Runescape veterans have been missing a pre-GE version of Runescape a lot ever since Runescape Classic got shut down. With all due respect to everyone who is reading this, it really is a shame that some of the Runescape players and Jagex don't care about this part of Runescape history even if you didn't personally like the pre-GE era of Runescape.

Saying that enough players won't play on these servers is not a good enough excuse to not preserve Runescape history. If the worlds longest MMORPG game from 1996 is still running to this day without very many players playing it, I think Jagex could make some sort of legacy version of RS for us whether it is RSC or OSRS Vanilla. Thanks for reading. :)

Most RSC and pre-GE RS2 fanboys can agree with each other that the Grand Exchange was one of the worst updates in Runescape's history because it made the game too easy for them. Also, anybody who tells me to just go play Ironman, Ironman is only a substitute to the pre-GE versions of Runescape because you can't trade with other people.

i never played pre g.e, but i can see how playing the game without it would have it's charm

having to trade with players and reach an agreement, and hunt for rare items rather than just grinding for money and pumping it into the standarized market machine

No, just tax the GE. Extra servers are unfeasible. How many times do I have to remind you of Ayiza's quote on the topic? Or just remove the GE in this game altogether. The ditch is gonna get endless repolls while sand buckets can pass the first poll and never be implemented. After the ditch passes the 7th poll attempt, it'll be implemented an hour before the poll closes because it's actually important. Deal with it.

By that you of course mean that the vast majority of the original "no changes" community got one taste of not having a GE and went "NOPE! We can have changes! Holy **** our wrists!!! GIVE US A GE!!!!"

Good thing too. I lasted around 30 minutes of nostalgia before I abandoned OSRS out of boredom. The QOL features like the GE and oodles of new content reeled me back in only recently.
Headcanon Haven, where everything is made up and the points don't matter.
OSRS Lore: Xeric
