Do you think there is some association between prayer energy and summoming energy? From what I am getting is that familiars draw on this special anima we have contained in us to stay in our world. However, from [qfc id=Quick find code: 341-342-471-65705334*Necrovarus' notes,[/qfc] we discover that prayer energy is actually anima from dead spirits we channel and store into our body to fuel the special effects of boons and curse, which are in no way tied to a particular god, it turns out. Many people have thought that prayer energy was divine energy granted to us by gods, but recently, it turns out now to be the anima of dead people and has nothing to do with the gods.

Basically, we both store two different kinds of anima into our body. The spiritual anima of the dead spirits and the spiritual anima of... spiritual summoning energy? Is there some differentiation between the two? If they are one in the same, then wouldn't draining one effect the other? They sound like they should be the same... I recall that in Spirit of Summers, there is a ritual we use to imprison the Spirit Beast that requires the sacrifice of souls, and we were smart and clever enough to use summoning spirit familiars in conjunction, instead of the immoral, former option.

Also, before Wolf Whistles was revamped, i recall our character mentioning a fatigued and drained feeling they felt when they first started using up their little summoning energy. That sounds interesting to look into. Also, in familiarization, when we are attacked in the Spirit World by a familiar, we get this message that we are losing our mental focus on the world? So there is some level of psychic power we use to remain there—also worth investigating.
I worship Mah, for she is mah homegirl! The correct adjective for Mah's followers are: Mahomies, Mah-homeboys, or Mah-homegirls.

**EDIT**
UPDATE:
Well.... I have to admit, the new lore in the "The Ugthanatos" book really changes perspectives of summoning a lot...

There seems to be a bit of new summoning lore with the release of The Arc that may be worth looking into.

I suggest reading into the new lore books dropped by the Anagami:
The Path of the Dragon
The Path of the Elemental
The Path of the Monk

Also take a look at the "Spirit Dragon charm" item.
