What do you think of the possibility of a stickied thread in this forum that includes a brief bio for the members of the lore council and their primary interests?

I'd find it interesting, and maybe the Jmods wouldn't mind sharing general thoughts on the direction of the lore there.

They might even make use of the willing labor to be found here - such as asking lorehounds for a summary of every known bit of lore related to the desert, a list of every known script used in-game, a carefully constructed development of the lore sorting out the concepts of planes, anima, and magic (I'm still hyping this one.) - you know, obscure stuff, that makes game lore so fun. Such explicit cooperation like this might enrich the lore community even more.

Luckily, we have a group of devs (and QA and beyond) who care about maintaining the game's lore, all of whom have an extensive knowledge of the game's lore. Last year, we got a bit more organised and formed the Lore Council (before that we had something else, less organised) and we regular meet to discuss current and future lore development. The group collectively has a wide range of experience and disparate backgrounds, so contributions are from a range of perspectives.

From Osborne, the thought to lead them all. The preparation, the plan, the execution. To look to the future.

From Rowley, the heat to soften and burn, to work and fire the Lore. The beginning of things, to start anew. To experience the now.

From Stu, the Lore to shape, to build and destroy. Form and reform. The changing of states, of forms, of function.

From Raven, the cold to harden and freeze, to brittle and fracture the Lore. The ending of things, to break apart. To reflect on the past.

From Ollie, the light by which to see, the dark in which to hide. The potential for all life, and a place for all things.

I think it'd be a fantastic idea if there was a thread in the forum dedicated to J Mods sharing some of their general ideas, hopes, concerns, etc with the lore community for player discussion and feedback. Of course, J Mods would have to commit to checking in on a fairly regular basis.
