How little do we really know about previous revisions?

Yes, Elder gods create universe until they make some 'perfect' planet. They go to sleep for who knows how long. Wake up. Devour the life force of the planet. Then repeat.

We do know there were more Elders.
Just down to 5 at previous revision.
4? now.

It can be assumed that life in itself did occur. Grass, trees, etc. Maybe simple life? Insects, fish, kebbits. But nothing you would truly call sentient.

Then the Dragonkin came along. A fully sentient race.
Not necessarily the ONLY one to have existed through the ages, but boy howdy, the first to meet the Elders.
ofc, the Elders didn't know what to think ... or care.
Jas simply bound them to the Stone.

If you're right, Wen corrupted Mah's core.
Why?

Ancient Drew has a plausible theory.
Another possibility is that one or the other actively wanted intelligent life to occur.
Why would one of them want to do such a thing?
Maybe they thought it would make the life force of the planet richer when they woke up. Maybe they thought it would be funny.
Maybe it was just some random experiment no different that the thought of making pink clouds instead of white.
Maybe one of them realized that the time of the Elders was really coming to an end and wanted to pave the way for something to take their place ... or even help save them from extinction ...

In the end, whatever view point Mah had, Wen was against. Thus Wen prevented Mah from fully developing.

It does make for an interesting thought:
What if Mah was the first to experiment with intelligent life.
The other Elders go 'no'.
Wen punishes Mah by corrupting her core.
Then Wen co-opts Mah's "intelligent life" project for her own.
Wen decides to play the long game and see how this would play out on a universe wide experiment.
Since it happened everywhere, the Elders would leave it as something they missed (ie: missing from Mah) and thus the fault of all of them.

A reason why Wen would corrupt Mah?

If Mah was making life she wasn't supposed to be making last revision (aka: the butterflies), then it stands to reason the other Elders would have seen this as something being fundamentally wrong with her.

As a result, Wen terminated her so as to prevent Mah's flaw from ruining their great work.

Alternatively, Mah might not have been making the butterflies if it weren't for Wen's corruption, in which case Wen might want sentient life to happen (or she just wanted more anima for herself and didn't foresee the propagation of sentient life).

Mah is the opposite from Wen.

Jas is the opposite from Ful I believe, but they go allong well.

Bik is the only standalone (although Wen is now too), the sixth elder god might be her opposite.

I have a pet theory that Teragard, the homeworld of humans, is a Wen created world.
