Don't support Zaros. He is the God of Control for a reason. He wants to become fate and lead mortals to greater potential, whether you like it or not. No ifs, ands, or buts. By supporting him, you give your life to him and lose freedom and free will like Saradominist's.

I do not think Armadyl is hypocritical like what others say. He is a peaceful god as he said, but that does not mean he is a complete pacifist. As mod raven said, he wil only go to war if he is left with NO other option. Like a deer, who is connotatively portrayed as passive gentle creatures, they will fight if left with no other option. I find Armadyl an okay god. He wants equality, consensus, and freedom/liberty. He is getting his own quest soon called Rites of Passage in the future. He is pretty liberal. He Perceives himself* as a judge that tries to get everything fair as possible.

As for Seren, she is sort of like Armadyl but with a few differences. She is like Canada. She always avoids wars and wants to create a safehaven free from war. She will fight if given no other option, but unlike armadyl, she has more power than him and thus more options to avoid fighting, like erecting barriers to keep wars out. She wants peace and freedom just like armadyl. Her followers are deeply intuned with nature and love the world. They both believe in consensus and that both their actions should be based on whag their followers thinks is best. However, Seren plans on abandoning her elves soon after the elder god issue is over, which sucks when someone asks you where is your god and you say "she left us." She has the power to unintentionally enforce adoration towards her so idk if you would want that.

Basically it's between Armadyl and Seren now. If you want a god with Lots of power to avoid wars, loves nature, loves you, but plans to leave you, follow her.

otherwise go armadyl

Original message details are unavailable.

Seren isn't perfect, she has flaws and she makes mistakes. She regrets what happened to Tarddiad, but in her mind it was a move that she had to make. She could not force those who remained behind to go with her, she knew the consequences, but she had no choice.

She did a bad thing and she regrets it (this should be clear from her dialogue). But they are still things that she has done. But don't forget she also did an awful lot of good for the elves. She taught them agriculture, magic, various methods of construction. She expanded their lives dramatically (which went a bit wrong, but hey, at least she tried).

So, she's not a jerk and she's not uncaring, but she's also not utterly infallible. ;)

And before anyone starts shouting at me that "Zaros has a plan for the Elders!", stop I get it. Zaros's "plan" is ridiculous and the fact so many put so much faith in it shocks me.

We can find our own way to deal with the Elders, our own way to handle the Dragonkin and our own way to do things our way.

See, that's great in theory, but the Godless do not know about the Elder Gods and even if they did, there's nothing they can do. There's nothing Vorago can do this time, either. Zaros' plan might be nebulous and risky, but it's the only plan there is right now, and Zaros is the only god powerful enough to do something as of this post.

Seren's strength rivals Zaros's, too. They are both tier 2 transcended gods, after all. Originally, Seren and Guthix thought that if they could manipulate the anima mundi around where they slept, they could trick the Elders into thinking the planet is not ripe enough to eat yet. But constant wars and the anima rifts made this complicated so Seren is moving on to something else, now. Perhaps she plans to crystallize the anima to keep them trapped or make the anima unedible.

Be the second ever to join the Mah faction :D

By joining Mah, you are a blend of Serenist and Zarosian. You see, Mah made Zaros and Seren by shedding a portion of her powers, in a similar matter to how Tumeken made his four aspects and how Seren made Haluned and Eluned.

According to lore, Tumeken's aspects are said to represent his core beliefs. They were his avatars. Likewise, Seren and Zaros are both avatars of Mah!

When Zaros and Seren were born, they were pre-programmed with different mindsets, Zaros was always the more critically analytical person, and Seren was the emotional, kind, passionate side. Unbeknownt to them, Zaros and Seren are Mah, polar opposites of her personality (again, her avatars.) Above all, despite being polar opposite personalities, what both Seren and Zaros share in common is that they have this innate care towards mortals, which is the core thing of Mah. Zaros wants mortals to live freely and reach their full potential. Seren wants mortals to live freely and have love, respect, and compassion with each other and the world around them. I think Mah is the only Elder God that feels this way towards mortals. Unlike the other Elder Gods, who believe sentient life are a pest to their food, Mah thought differently.

In a post somewhere by a jmod, a jmod said Mah was the only elder god who had the power to cease the existence of sentient life, given the notion she wasn't starved of anima. Mah is also said to have a childlike mind, filled with wonder who always preferred to be alone. I have this conspiracy/headcanon theory that Mah purposely starved herself because she adored mortal life and didn't want to be forced by her sisters to cease the existence of mortals. She is our hero, saviour, maker, and we owe our existence for her sacrifice. She is my lord and savior. She should be yours too. All her ideals lie within Zaros and Seren. They must join together...!

I do not really like Seren very much, for multiple reasons, the biggest one being that she seems to be too Guthixian/too influenced by Guthix, and I despise Guthix's ideals regarding "balance." Guthix would let a volcano destroy a civilization just to restore "balance."

I don't think Seren would let a volcano explode to restore balance. She believes in harmony, not balance. The concept of harmony, balance, and equality (armadyl) may sound alike but they are very much different.

Harmony is when two or more factors work together to achieve something that they would not normally be able to accomplish on their own. This can be used in both a destructive and creative sense.

Equality: Equality is the belief that all beings are born equal in rights despite being of different race, religion etc. These rights are things such as a right to life, no torture, no discrimination because of their ethnicity and preferences in men and/or women.

As for Balance, in Guthix's case, would be to believe there should always be an equilibrium amount of goodness and evil in the world. An action must have an equivalent reaction. In doing so, Guthix believed the anima mundi of the world will be in a frozen state of neither growth or declination, causing the Elder Gods to never wake up or the planet to die.

Where do you live, exactly? The United States? If you love the US government, believe it is flawless, then should join Armadyl, since that is basically what Jagex envisoned Armadyl to personify. Liberty, Justice, Equality, all that stuff stolen from the Gettysburg Address.

But remember this, there is no justice without law, and laws weaken liberty. It's just a matter of time the politically correct get into Armadyl's head and soon, we will be forced to believe a certain way. Where is the freedom now? #hatespeechisfreedom!

Go on my forum profile and look for my thread "Armadyl is a hypocrite" and feel free to scroll through the pages of arguments regarding Armadyl.
