Welcome to my thread. The topic for this particular thread is the ambiguity behind when certain 6th age quests and events take place in the cannon. The quest and events in question are: Kindred Spirits, Dishonor among Thieves, and the death of Tuska, and Janus’s manipulation of the Shadowrealm.

I’ve noticed that many lorefourmers assume that the order in which quests come out. To my knowledge, Jagex has never stated this as fact. It is quite possible Kindred Spirits happens before Dishonor among Thieves, and this is what I will attempt to prove. How this is going to work is that I am going to spoon you my own narrative of events and ask you to compare it to your own interpretation of events. Any feedback is welcome and appreciated. I hope you enjoy.

For the record, this thread contains spoilers to recent quests. I will not be putting up spoiler tags so read at your own risk.

Alright in my narrative it is sometime after the first quarter of the third year of the Sixth Age. The World Guardian has been investigating robberies, and disappearances that seem to be related to the Dragonkin. After finding Meg’s office empty of Meg, with a clue on her desk pointing us towards Linza, we head off to figure out what is up. Long story short Sliske has been kidnapping people in order to create an elaborate game to steal our soul. In the process of this game, Brother Samwell is killed, Verrac converts to zamorakiansm, the Barrows brothers regain some freewill, we discover Sliske’s plans and sabotage Sliske’s shadow focus, and then are savagely beaten by Sliske and having part of our soul stole before escaping.

(The 6 disobedient brothers are then presumably punished by Sliske and turned into the purple Rise of the Six wrights that we see today. This would explain why only the brothers were experimented on.)

The World Guardian following the events of Kindred Spirits is left knowing that Sliske is indeed their enemy. They likely even want revenge for what Sliske has done to them. So while investigating the invitation Sliske gave us during Missing Presumed Death

(perhaps because the World Guardian was reminiscing about Brother Samwell)

The World Guardian end up going back to the citadel. Coincidently, Moia is there. Quite an unexpected place to meet don’t you think. From Moia’s dialog it appears that Zamorak is aware of our actions, and that we might be willing to side with him, despite him potentially being an enemy of the past.

(How exactly does Zamorak know? perhaps a certain newly liberated Zamorakian has been praying to his new god about the events of Kindred Spirits.)

Regardless of how Zamorak knows of our actions, we are invited to strike back against Sliske. In short, Zamorak has created a team to steal the Stone of Jas from Sliske. Sliske reveals to the world guardian that he knows of the plans to steal the stone from him. Sliske, who is now aware that the World Guardian has a particular knack for breaking rules, including his own, thinks the World Guardian is perfect for this plan.

“That's where you come in. You're a catalyst for chaos. Particularly apt in this case, don't you think?” –Sliske

Anyways, while recruiting individuals to help out with stealing the stone we learn this particular tidbit.

“Sliske's experiments have affected not only certain methods of seeing in, but also my ability to enter. Though it would seem I can still manipulate the shadows enough to send you in.”-Khazard

(But what if it wasn’t Sliske** experiments that have prevented Khazard from entering the shadow realm. What if a particularly cunning mortal managed to sabotage the shadow realm somehow, maybe by damaging the Shadow Focus, causing adverse effects for other shadow realm users, but making sure that they would still be able to enter it when they need too.)

*I found this quote to be particularly interesting:
*Well I'm glad you asked! I want some new drapes, perhaps a portrait or two, a rematch between Zamorak and Saradomin-“ Sliske
more on this later *

Continuing on. Again long story short, Zamorak fails to steal the stone but is able to power himself back up to tier 4, and Nomad reveals himself as a traitor. Sliske manages to survive an massive attack fired point black by Zamorak (and potentially the player) who was/were pulling power directly from the stone of jas.

(Could it be that the World Guardians soul protected him from being obliterated?)

The World Guardian also fights a shadowy construct that appears to be a copy of themselves. Could this have been built by using the World Guardians Soul?.

Sometime later an astromancer discovers a strange object heading towards gielinor. It turns out it is Tuska coming to devour gielinor. Four factions team up and defeat her. Vorargo gets the final kill. It turns out all the souls that Tuska has eaten a released and enter gielinor’s underworld. This causes a battle between Amascut and Icthlarin.

(It's curious why Sliske never included the killing of Tuska in his journal. He included all other World Events, and it is not like it would hurt the requirements by putting it in. I think the best explanation is that it hasn't happened yet.)

*At some point later, Falador breaks out into civil war again. Black Knights vs White Knights, Zamorak vs Saradomin. Basically granting Sliske his wish… Strange how things work out eh?*

Some time later, Sliske orders one of his minions, an ex Zamorakian Magical Institute agent named Janus to weaken the divide between the shadow realm and gielinor. Now this would seem contrary to what Sliske did in DaT where he was strengthening the divide between the two.

(So what if Sliske was actually trying to undo the damage the World Guardian has done to his shadow focus.)

So that’s the end of my narrative. I hope I’ve established some interesting connections for you to think about. To recap I believe the events of the 6th age happened line this. KS > DAT > Tuska > Janus/rift incident.

If you have any comments, feel free to post, and please, enjoy your day :D.

Reserved for future quests. (I might add Fotg in somewhere) If anyone has a screen shot of Sliske in KS can you tell me if he is wearing any Zarosian symbols? Thanks
