During the fight with Jabari, did anyone notice the camel staff he was wielding and his affinity with illusion magic?

Also, during the quest, the player questioned why he worshipped Amascut. Jabari replied by saying that he wasn't completely loyal to Amascut and that "she was only a means to an end," and that he has greater plans, beyond Amascut.

I think he also said he doesn't care about the Pharaoh or Menaphos, and that he wanted to purge the Menaphite Pantheons.

Do you guys think his loyalty is with the Camel God? :o

I'm pretty sure the Camel God was just retconned to Akthankos.

What seemed more interesting to me was
the pharoah's ambitions of attaining godhood. But, I haven't done 'Phite Club yet, so I really don't know for sure how far that line is going to go.

Small clarification. Camel god wasn't retconned to be Akthanakos - there is no camel god, never has been. It's only ever been assumed there was from a single line of (throwaway) dialogue. We decided to connect that line up to Akthanakos as it's logical it was a reference to him, and also to make it clear there isn't a ninth member of the desert pantheon.

I is here.

I should know more than anyone, that Mod Rowely has always been keen to always remind all that there is no camel god, just as much as I am always keen to remind all of the glory of camels. And yet every time I read Mod Rowely saying "there is no camel god", I get thrown back to the days when Blizzard insisted "there is no cow level."

This quest has a number of references to camels, and I was laughing so hard when the player talks to Command A about them, but then there is Jabari...

He earlier states how unlike Osman, he was loyal to the "true lord of the desert." Only for us to latter hear from him that he only considers Amascut a means to an end. Combine this with the fact that he somehow has a camel staff when only Akthanakos's camels should have them, makes me wonder if Akthanakos does indeed have a secret plot in the making...

I don't think it is Akthantos who is the true god. Not to mention he is no where near powerful to beat us, especially when he is a Zarosian. It is possible that maybe he is talking about Zaros.

We know that the desert was once part a Jungle, that possibly means that Karamja was once part of the desert, especially given the names of the Jungle and Desert and how closely they are.

Kharazi and Kharidian. We know that there is a god who has a name on the map, but we don't know what that name is. We just know that the name of the god is already on the map, but we haven't met or heard of said god.

We know that Karamja has a Pantheon of its own and we know that both are heavily related to monkeys. Therefore, I think that Jabari's true master is Kharazi/Kharidian or event something very close to that.

That means that there is no 9th member of the Desert Pantheon, but perhaps at one point, there was more gods and land.

I wouldn't be surprised if a Jungle Pantheon Member cut away from the main land right before Tumeken sacrificed himself and destroyed the Kharidian Jungle, which could have been know as the Kharazi Jungle at the time.

Now as the 6th Age rises, maybe the Jungle Pantheon want that land for themselves. Giving us a war between the Jungle Pantheon and the Desert Pantheon.

You could argue that there are no camels in Karamja, but this might be because many were killed out and if you look in real life, camels actually originated in North America so it isn't a surprise.

I have just completed 'Phite Club. Read on at your own risk friendos.

Jabari is outright killed by Amascut when she breaks the Soul Alter because of her tampering with the Kharid-Ib during the end cutscene. It isn't made clear initially, but the Quest Log confirms it.

Starting to feel like a repeat of the Sliske storyline. We have a trickster mage working for a powerful figure who rules from the shadows. Said figure wants to become a God, but in truth the trickster mage is working for a REAL Goddess who wants to destroy everything (but he is only loyal to himself).

...Now add the word "Elder" a couple of times.
Runescape doesn't need a hero...it needs a villain. An all encompassing force of evil that will remain ever-threatening and use chaos to make the peoples of Gielinor tolerate each other, grow strong together, and fight side by side against this evil. I am that villain.

Well for starters it's a weak assed mage who has to use illusion so we don;t just roll over them like a trucker convoy. He has planes, but the Pharaoh is the one who wants to become a god, which lines up with typical Egyptian ego on the divine. So far Jarai is a one trick pony who thought he what he had would make him invincible. now we have always known that Amascut wants to become far more powerful and is after the Kharad-ib to do so, which is a story that predates Sliske by a number of years.

Seriously though for the most part I couldn't tell which was which in the arena but rocktails and spam clicking ftw. Who knows, we might even get to fight a god , even if they barely deserve the name and is weak as watered down beer lol.

Although what I said it is possible, maybe not too possible.

I misunderstood some of what I read about the desert. I originally though the entire desert was once a vast jungle, but that does not appear to be the case.

I think something in Do No Evil, something the monkeys say, made it sound like they were talking about the entire desert once a jungle.

I also thought it was based on the Egyptian Desert, which was also once an entire Jungle.
