Are all the guardians known now? Currently there are 4 males and 4 females and 1 world guardian.

However 1 of the 4 females is also the first world guardian. So is the world guardian included or?

Considering how Ancient Drew covered all in-game I figure I might as well mention one that doesn't exist. During one of the podcasts it was mentioned how there was once plans for a Guardian of Guthix called Erebus. It would have been some sort of sentient prison-complex, in which Guthix would have locked away some of the most dangerous things he'd ever encountered.

Sadly this amazingly metal idea never saw the light of day.

My theory, based on no evidence, is that Erebus is actually Daemonhiem. To me, it is a sentience that has no body of its own but possesses environments and manipulates said environments into prison systems. It has since hijacked Bilrach's tunnels and incoperated them into itself.

Ever wonder why all the keys are on the wrong side of the door? It's because the prison has redesigned itself not to keep you out like Bilrach intended, but to keep whatever was down there down there. Perhaps it was built for Zamorak, if we reject the idea that he "accidentally" got stuck somehow trying to get into the world by somehow going through the middle... But perhaps it was built for something bigger and scarier.

Daemonheim is strongly indicated to be originally of Dragonkin origin (ex: they can control the floor arrangements to some degree). And they pre-date Guthix by a notable margin.

We also know that Daemonheim pre-dates the end of the God Wars because of the Daemonheim journal, Portal Notes, that describes a vision of Daemonheim from before Forinthry's destruction. And Guthix didn't appoint the Guardians of Guthix until after he awoke at the end of the 3rd age.

It's a fictional game, there are an infinite amount of ways I could twist the fictional reality to accept the possibility that daemonhiem is a sentient prison. Just to prove that to you, here.

a) Perhaps the Kin have a relationship with the Being. Perhaps he also is their Vault. Perhaps the Kin have some way of controlling him.

b)Death existed long before being appointed a guardian and even had a relationship with Guthix. Perhaps his "appointment" was just symbolic and Erebus was always doing his job, guarding something down there that Guthix new about. Perhaps he isn't necessarily a guardian of Guthix, and is just an unrelated sentient prison.

As such, there is little sense in either of us trying to prove or disprove the theory. We could argue likelihood, but it matters so little that why bother. The Jmods could very well see the idea and be like "neat" and stick it in regardless of any conclusion of "likeliness" we try to come to.

I'm just going to let the theory be what I intended it to be, a fun idea to play with during idle thought.

As of now there are 6 Guardians surviving that we know of aside from us, unless Aeternam naturally disobeys reality and is alive even after we defeated the Balance Elemental.

Assuming she died in WGS, that leaves 3 females and 4 males before TWW. Then we became a Guardian ourselves when we did the puzzle, Zilyana killed Cres leaving 3 males, then Guthix upgraded us to World Guardian before he died.

It's distinctly possible that Aeternam does disobey reality due to her odd relationship with time, though I don't think that is necessary in this case. If I recall correctly, Guthix stated in the engrams about the balance elemental that those who comprised it would be returned to their home planes upon its defeat.
