In the most recent Meg's Cases, 'Brassica Crime', we were given the term 'Cabbiga Mundi'. This is obviously another Brassica Prime joke. But, this gave me an idea on how to make Brassica Prime a legitimate character.

I propose that Brassica Prime is not all that different than our very own Vorago. But instead of being created to protect the Anima Mundi, Brassica Prime is the embodiment of Gielinor's perfection. Therefore, the higher the Anima levels, the stronger Brassica Prime would be. This explains why he's always talking about the nutrition, and how all things are followers of him. This explains why Guthix did not banish him like all the other gods, because he is not a god.

He would have had to have been created in the early first age. Before the Anima was scarred by the destruction of Forinthry, Kharidian, and Morytania. This would also be the reason Brassica Prime is so weak now days.

What do you think? Should Brassica Prime remain a joke? Or should he finally get the respect and significance he deserves?

Well, it's been stated that intelligent life does not naturally arise on the plane with perfect anima.

Considering Vorago's apparent intelligence and similarity with the soon to be released Telos, it appears fairly likely that he was supposed to be a defense system much like Telos and has only deviated from his original apparent directive (smashing mortals and their things) due to the use of the Maul of Omens against him.

As for Brassica, on the other hand, I wouldn't really describe him or regular cabbages as 'intelligent.' As such, Brassica might just be the only god completely native to Gielinor and might just function as an unintended avatar of Gielinor's Anima.

Or, he could just be a cabbage that somehow ascended.

Yup, Vorago and Telos as well as Yakamaru (and the two other concepts) are protectors of the Anima, or 'Guardian Spirits' as the Gobies call them. Created do to a dramatic and sudden drop in the Anima levels of their worlds. And I think that intelligent life not occurring may be old lore do to Vorago's intelligence, like you said.

And I'm actually ok with Brassica just being an ascended cabbage, but this makes him a bit cooler.

Or Vorago could have been made by something that was already here to defend it. After his initial rampage and being given the smack down by the Maul of Omens, he is much politer :P Wouldn't want people looking for a more permentant solution.

Telos seems to be a good candidate for being another Avatar, charged with defending the Heart.

Idle Adventuers will soon have "Sally" popping into existence. Though I think the Anima Mundi might have got the Idea from that Memory of Guthix turning up in Ports as an Adventurer.

Brassica..well it doesn't matter where he came from any more. Unlike his godly brothers and sister, he's just a bit batty and harmless. The fact he might be protecting a facet of the Anima Mundi is a bonus.

Intelligent life tends to popup on worlds with an Anima Mundi but a world that is not in it self perfect. Which could very well be using intelligent life to try and balance it's books, as it were. Else all that would be wandering about would be Elder Gods minions.

I find it just as likely that Brassica Prime is in truth the god of insanity, afflicted by his own curse.
Melzar the Mad also likes cabbages...

What if unlike Vorago and Telos, who were designed by the Anima to protect Gielinor, maybe Brassica Prime is so harmless because he wasn't designed for combat. He isn't a protector of the Anima, but perhaps the Anima given form. Brassica Prime could be more of a source of information than a warrior. This could be how Guthix knew so much about the Anima and the Elder Gods, he learned it from Brassica Prime.

Or maybe he's like Bik's version of Ful's TokHaar-Hok. Another voice of the Elder Gods.

As for Sally, perhaps the Anima created her to keep the Elder Gods asleep. She's raising the Anima levels back up by bringing peace and balance to the world. Jagex even said she acts as a psychologist to the gods. This could be the Anima's way of ensuring the gods don't cause another sudden drop in Anima levels, like with Zamorak and the wilderness.

Sally is a people person, she's here to fix things. She's more likely to turn up after we finish burning the city to the ground in a our "battle against evil" than during or before. Between us, maybe she is the carrot and we're the stick.

Brassica could be a litmus test for a part of the Anima I don't think anyone is watching. Batty as a fruitcake on a church steeple, but still doing something, even if not chosen to do it. Why does everything have to be about being made and chosen to do something instead of it going "oooooooooooh Shiiiiiiiiiiinyyy! :D" and grabbing to fit a role.
