I was wondering, what do you think the relationship between Anima constructs (Telos and Vorago) and the Elder Gods would be, if they were aware of one another? I get the feeling that Telos and Vorago owe their existences to sapient mortal life (if Gielinor was just full of dumb insects, for example, I don't think they'd have manifested); therefore, it seems reasonable to me that they would oppose the Elder Gods' agenda of literally sucking the life out of the planet. Might they actually put up a resistance in the future, do you think? If so, I can see why Jas believes current mortal life to be dangerous. Can't have too-smart prey after all, because then the prey might decide there's another permutation to the relationship and act based on it.

To answer your question, they could try but would not succeed. Both telos and rago are dispatched by multiple world guardians everyday. You have a snobby attitude with Jas in your lone brief meeting and its OH DEAR! YOURE DEAD! Its better to view the anima bosses like the inhabitants of the TzHaar city, servants of the elder gods who were created by them and given awareness for a purpose. I have seen the dark universe yawning, where the black planets roll without aim;
Where they roll in their horror unheeded, without knowledge or lustre or name.

That is a good question. Thinking about it lorewise, What would they be able to do? While Telos is tasked to protect the Heart, Vorago is made to protect Gielinor's anima over all. So I assume Vorago would be the only one who would attempt to protect Gielinor over all. So if we (spoilers) happen to fail in our test to prove that life should remain, I'd imagine that Vorago would try to fight them, with the help of the gods as well, but that would fail as they'd absorb the anima of Gielinor, which could weaken, and even kill Vorago.

As far as i'm aware, the elder gods used elder artefacts to direct and guide their powers through, but those are in control of mortal gods and the world guardian partially (catalyst fragments) so maybe we would stand a chance against them? I mean, don't they need the siphon (staff of armadyl) to siphon the anima from gielinor?

A sculptor will use a variety of tools to shape the clay they work. They are still perfectly capable of shattering their sculpture without said tools after it's dried (or smash it back into a blob of clay if it hasn't).

they could, but could they?

We're know that its possible to kill an elder god, since we have been capable of killing mah(even if she was the weakest of the bunch) by using an "artefact" (the antenna she created) to siphon her energy and weaken her. So maybe the same could be done to the other gods, with the siphon ofcourse.

Except that isn't what happened. Even after draining her for power with her own antenna, Mah still lived. It took a t2 god to finally end her after she spent the entire revision starved for anima and creating and imbuing life with what little power she had. And the others have a much more power than Mah did.

But even if you overlook that, they were only able to drain her because of the link she had with the life she specifically created. So maybe you could pull it off again with Ful considering she seems closely linked to the Tokhaar and Tzhaar if you can somehow convince them to turn against their maker when she hasn't been leeching off their power like Mah did with her creations. But that does nothing about the elders without races intrinsically linked to them (and before you bring it up, the Dragonkin are bound to the Stone of Jas, not Jas herself).

PS: The elder artifacts (with the exception of the Measure) were created by the elder gods to fill the gap left by Mah. Given that we know of at least one revision that included Mah, it should be fairly clear that the elder artifacts, whilst useful to the elders, are not necessary for them to consume/destroy worlds.

I agree with you, but to be fair Vorago doesn't fight at even close to full power. WE3 proved that he can absorb the Anima Mundi temporarily to at least match a (weakened) T4 god. Even then, we already know the young gods are no match.

I have noticed your kind does tend to blindly stumble forward towards danger simply because it exists. What is your word for that?
- We call it being a hero.

The Elder Gods were aware that mortals would exist and that one day they might try to get rid of their disgusting anima poison, so it's likely they planned for Vorago's creation. Whether he's loyal to them or not is another matter entirely and inconsequential. The Dragonkin hated the Elder Gods, but still designed to ward away false users. The loyalty of Vorago and the kin are both irrelevant since they have no power to oppose the Elders and if they ever got tired of them, they could easily remove them. Runescape doesn't need a hero...it needs a villain. An all encompassing force of evil that will remain ever-threatening and use chaos to make the peoples of Gielinor tolerate each other, grow strong together, and fight side by side against this evil. I am that villain.

The Dragon Kin are likely the strongest creatures weve come across so far. Weve seen them kill Lucien who was close to ascending, kill V, run off all the gods from the Citadel, cinder armadyl, destroy the atone of Jas and other amazing feets. Hell they believed themselves to be immortal until robert the strong came along. And even they couldnt put up a resistance to ONE elder god. I have seen the dark universe yawning, where the black planets roll without aim;
Where they roll in their horror unheeded, without knowledge or lustre or name.
