Jagex is shooting themselves in the foot by re-releasing "rares".

- Investors buy rares in anticipation of a return on their investment over time (this boosts the price as it removes some of the items from circulation)
- With high prices on rares, buying spins is more attractive when new rares are released.
- When Jagex goes back on their word, and re-releases "rares"...
investors lose confidence > do not buy > do not raise price > lower appeal of buying spins > lower Jagex profits

I would like to thank you, as you've summed up an opinion that I've been struggling to put into words for some time now.

Seriously, Jagex, if you're going to do TH stuff, at least have some sort of consistency. People ain't going to buy as much stuff from you if they don't trust you. Just saying.
Fullblown non-playing lurker since 26/06/17. May come back if both the devs and the MTX team get their bloody act together.

I saw 'Treasure Hunter' and 'End' in one heading and got really excited. Shame :-(

Treasure Hunter is a great way for Jagex to increase revenue, the execution however could use improvement.

Personally I like it means people can't hoard rares.

I don't think this is a good idea, the rainbow items aren't even a year old and they've been re-released already this year - and I'm pretty sure they aren't even rare anymore! I see them everywhere! Achieved
