here is the math

it takes 4000 Sigils for one whole outfit with the weapon and shield.

so if my math is misleading me

and im making about 8 sigils every couple of minutes while fishing

i dont think im going to have enough time of day because i work and have very limited time to be on. SO isnt this just unfair? i mean the only other way to get sigils is to buy keys for treasure hunter. I used $20 USD and i got 1000 of both sigils. I am making no progress. Its been almost 2 hours and have barely gotten 150 sigils.

I think rate needs to be increased a little more so that its fair and people stand SOME chance to get atleast one outfit.

lets put it this way, if i do 500 sigil a day, until the 19th which is 4 days away thats still not enough. Id have to do 1000 of each, each day to meet the requirements at this point. For anyone thats just starting i cant imagine how difficult this is

That's not 'unfair', it's a deliberate design choice to encourage the purchase of TH keys. *ALL* Treasure Hunter promotions are, after all, designed to generate income for Jagex.

My initial response here is "here we go again", since this is a common complaint or problem people have with "tokens earned by skilling" events that always comes up.

The problem is, how should Jagex balance token rate? Take the Zodiac event for example: people were saying the number of tokens needed for level 10 was unfair, and those people showed the calculations that caused them to reach that conclusion - as we're getting here.

What actually happened was we got a split: some players were posting final results images showing levels well in excess of 100, and on the whole the majority of players did manage to at least hit the level 10 goal. Those who essentially gave up right at the start obviously didn't fare well, and some people weren't interested in the event at all.

The problem with these events is that they're time sinks, but they're also efficiency sinks. To guarantee your completion of these events, you must play many hours, and you must be using your time effectively: if you're doing skilling in such a way that you keep the downtime to an absolute minimum, you'll get more tokens in the long run.

Any time you're just running around (even to the bank or GE), or standing around, or doing anything other than skilling is time when tokens cannot drop.

But what constitutes a "good amount of time investment"? I have always, without fail, completed every one of these events that I've participated in, and I've done so easily with lots of time to spare. But I do have all the time in the world I can dedicate to the game, meaning I often play 12 hours or more a day. So it seems the events are balanced around 5-6 hours worth of efficient play. A much wider number of players are able to do that, and they also succeed at these events.

If you play less than 5-6 hours, you are going to run into problems getting tokens, so don't pressure yourself to get both sets: you should just aim for your preferred one, and consider the second a stretch goal.

they should take into effect that MAYBE most of their
Fanbase
might work during the day and some might have
Families to take care of or spend time with
i feel like the zodiac festical was easier than this cuz atleast the drop rates varied and the amount as well. I finished level 10 on that event 3 days before it ended practically. This event is hike.

even two extra days would be nice i agree, i look at the rate of sigil gains and the amount needed and im already thinking fuck it i wont get it, zodiac tho i ended at like lvl 40 something with ease. i had a few clannies end 100+ with ease as well.
Out of every 4 people, only 5 are good with fractions.

People who use sign language all agree they find it handy.
