Note: All data is accurate as of 00:00 game time today (Monday, 26th August)

Hey everyone,

This is it, the final Clan Cup results!

There have been a total of 1,633 sessions submitted so far, with 232 clans in total entering!
Note: As mentioned yesterday, there has been a method where some clans have been using the Overgrown Idols buff to then give them a slight boost for the first 10 - 15 minutes of a BGH Clan Cup session, I'll be taking 2 points away from any session where a player used this buff while in a BGH Clan Cup session, two points on average was the gain a player is able to make with the associated boost active.

- While this buff wasn't listed as a restriction it's discovery happened on Friday and this has meant some clans have been able to get a slightly higher score which puts Clans who only had time during the week to put sessions in at a disadvantage, the modified scores should make things more fair as a result of this.

As a result of this we found that there were 11 players who benefitted in someway from the Idols buff, as a result this is the final scores.

For all clans here, congratulations!

I've already handed out the majority of Clan Cup prizes, so I'll finish up as I go
1st: Efficiency Experts - 242
2nd: Summit - 237 (Note: Summit originally had a score of 253 which was marked down as 247 yesterday, my mistake there. The score of 253 had 8 top 10 sessions with one of the Idol buffs used meaning they've been deducted 16 points. 253 - 16 = 237)
3rd: The Order of War - 233
4th: Alright - 227
5th: The Outlander - 217
6th: Zer0 PvM - 216 & True Respect - 216
7th: Clan Quest - 215
8th: Lithuanians United - 212
9th: Modest Skillers - 210
10th: Iron Family - 206
Again, thank you all so much for participating I'm happy to report that as a result of the Clan Cup we saw 14% initial engagement increase after the first day. Steady, continuous increase thoughout the week of the event, especially on the weekend, that lead to the engagement vols being ~76% higher than at the start.

For someone so intent on making things fair, even to the point of penalizing buffs that were NOT BANNED in any way, you somehow managed to pick the LEAST fair option of them all.

You could have let the results stand on their own, given that they were all legitimate, and not made yourself the arbiter of the outcome. You could have let the results stand, but given #2 the 12% buff as an 'apology' for the oversight. Instead, you took away our win - the least fair possible outcome - and made the skilling clan cup about what you, personally, think is fair, instead of skilling knowledge, ability, and clan organization.

Summit won the clan cup, fair and square. It's unfair to penalizes only ONE of the many buffs that weren't banned, and to do so with < 16 hours left.

You're literally stealing our win from us without so much as even an explanation.

Any clan that found the Idol method, with the same mentality in which they used Resource Aura and Refined Perk, would've used Idols but unfortunately for them they didn't.

Resource Aura and Refined Perk have the same violation of a theory of rules that were disallowed and worse as an Aura and an Invention perk are listed as not allowed. When you consider that everything around the Clan Cup meant to prevent these types of boost from being added. This was heavily communicated. While it is Jagex's fault for not having a catch-all rule that's no excuse for players to use them.
Knowing they've gone to the extend to disallow time-gated advantages such as Aura's and Invention Skill perks and then using an Aura and Invention Skill perk means clans that used Aura's and Invention Perks intended on breaking the rules.

DQ all boosts (not selectively choose which ones worked better than others)

The other buffs that slipped through only saved 10-15 seconds in the entire session (1 hour long). The buffs your clan saved you 4.5-7 minute.

It was clear from the discussions that took place prior to this past week and the rules within that all sorts of boosts were meant to be removed. It was because the Idol boost were so strong that the EXTRA kills were removed.

Your CLF represents know the reason about the recalculation. Clan cup was meant to be about even leveling field without any boosts to make it truly skillbased. Shauny organised this clan cup all by himself and we as clan represents helped him to check he ruled out all buffs. It was a buff 50+ people forgot about to disqualify. Kudos for thinking outside of the box but most people didn't even try to think about other buffs because it was supposed to be an even playfield.

Even rosaberries was forgotten but resourcefull aura barely ahs an impact.
