Suffocated, I felt. I could not see before my eyes as I lay there with my face in the mud as the heavy rain collided with the ground. My arms were too weak, my head was spinning and the only thing I could think of was the door.

The groans and screams were not too far behind me as my heartbeat paced up. I could hear their shrieks, their pants and their movement above the roaring thunder. My feet were slippery and I couldn't manage to stand up. I tried and tried but it was futile. This is it, I thought.

Could it have been my ending? No. I couldn't give up now. As I clutched my fingers to the moist mud, I rose from the rain and stood there in the moonlight. Nothing was too clear, nothing was too blurry - it felt perfect. I moved my legs slowly in hopes not to trip again. My body moved against the heavy wind.

I now lay on the marble floor, hearing the muffled sounds from outside. I made it, I thought. I am or should be safe. If I've made it for 2 days, I should be able to survive even longer.

Where is everyone? Have they forgotten about me? What went on down there? I have never witnessed an atmosphere as this on an instanced realm. It spread too fast and I could only find myself here, on this forsaken floating island. I coughed up the water from my throat and lay there.

The scratches on the door were heard but muffled. The door had kept me safe tonight. I open my eyes and look to the ceiling above me and take a deep breath to exhale but my lungs were pumped and tired. I moved my hands slowly to my head and removed the helmet.

At last. I no longer felt suffocated and I could finally breathe. I mustered the remaining of my energy to stand up once again, leaning on a wall. I removed my armour and let them clank against the floor. I collapsed once again, to enter a sleep that should refresh me once more.

To enable my rising, my safety and my strength. It was the only way.

I had to ensure my survival.

The light disturbed my vision as my eyelids slowly fluttered open. I had not acknowledged my survival, only to think I was knocking on the doors of death. I had awoken after a rough night. My memory remains distorted as I try to shape it together while I feel my body ache.

I knew I spent a rough night. I slowly moved my fingers, my legs and my head as I lay there on the floor. Everything was there. As I tried to raise my head a bit from the ground, I felt a severe pain rush down my back and a memory surge stroke me in the head. My memories were returning and the shuddering bloodshed that had occurred the previous night returned to me.

Day 3, I chant in my head.

Da da dim
Da dim
Da dim
Da da dim
Da dim
Dim

The humming returned to my head. I instantly teared up and felt the sorrow overwhelm me. It is my fault. She hummed and hummed, continuously since we've met. She had hummed at day, she had hummed at night.. It used to make me calm but now it makes me tremble in fear.

I felt the rush of anger control me as I painfully attempted to rise from the ground. I swayed over to my armour on the ground and leaned against the wall, wearing each piece separately. The hums shall forever haunt me until vengeance has been served. My days are counted and I must make the best of them.

My days are counted? No, they're not. Their days are counted. I need to live, I need to survive. It is my only hope to feel the vengeance and satisfaction. The thunderous storm shall never be forgotten and the shame will never be erased. How this had all happened will forever mark my memory and haunt me in my dreams.

This is not the place I knew anymore. As I glare at the rows and rows of seats, I glance at the broken podium. My rage has caused this and this must be my punishment. I am doomed on this floating island should I choose to keep things to myself.

Their faces appear in front of me, second by second, merely to remind me how my friends perished.

Because of me.
