I'm just saying if they "want" to make it an unlock that would work, but if they want to just make it a streamlined QoL improvement, that would be amazing as well.

I support an update to make compost bins close automatically when filled with fifteen items.

I think it needs to be an unlock. Even something as small as this could be a reward.

Jagex has run into the problem that they've done so many QoL fixes that COULD'VE been rewards, but they just gave them to people anyways.
So now we're getting bad rewards from various spots around the game instead of useful stuff like, hey, auto-closing a compost bin.

I see no reason for the proposed improvement to compost bins to have any prerequisites. Players should not be penalised for such a minor error as forgetting to close a compost bin. While some players may enjoy the challenge of remembering every detail necessary for optimal gameplay, very few players, if any, would appreciate being denied rewards due to a simple mistake.

The aim of a QoL update is to improve gameplay by eliminating unnecessary inconveniences. The effective loss of a bin full of compost is certainly an inconvenience. It is also unnecessary, as no significant gameplay depends on the fact that compost bins must be closed manually.

I would also suggest an update to the left-click ôuseö option on compost bins. The option should open an interface allowing players to select a type of compostable item to put in a bin. This change would eliminate the need for players to select items from the inventory and use the selected items on the bin.

That's a horrible idea.

Atm... It's 1 click item, 2 click bin, 3 click close bin.

U suggest... 1 left click bin + use, 2 click selected item + use or however many etc, 3 click close bin... Sort of like 5 clicks..

U think it's helpful to turn something from 3 clicks into 5 clicks??

In real life people are penalised for not closing the front door of their house by coming home to find a robber with a gun.

Close the bin. Don't forget.

This is a video game, it's a simple quality of life update, and they could add a toggle for those who make regular compost, not difficult at all. Same as the fact you can make it so weeds don't grow in your patches. Trying to use a real life situation to put down an online game suggestion? You realize this isn't real life right? There are dragons and magic..
