Mining and Forging in real life takes a little but of strength, so maybe we could incorporate a algorithm to give a small amount of strength exp when mining and/or smithing. i"m not talking about a great amount of experience,. I'm talking about maybe a 1 or 2% exp to strength every time you smith a bar, or mine an ore. I think this would make 100% sense. bump this thread if you agree, or comment other change you think would make sense/be helpful. If you think you should get str exp for smithing/mining transactions use the tread url below

Wouldn't work, this would fuck over every skiller (level 3 account) in the game and effectively turn mining and smithing into pseudo combat skills for them. If skillers (strictly level 3 accounts) weren't a thing in this game I'd probably agree with this but because they do exist this just wouldn't fly well.

This is actually true though.
Mining Should give a small exp to STR.

Just like hand fishing gives STR exp.

It could also be done by lvl 3 skills, aslong there is either a option to toggle ur EXP gain or through a certain item

I completely agree with you sevy, this should definitely be a thing, also if you are a "lvl 3" skiller there should be an option to turn off gained str exp. The attack for smithing honestly to me doesn't make sense. If you think you should get str exp for smithing/mining transactions use the tread url below

If there's an option for level 3 skillers to turn this strength exp from mining/smithing off then I see no issue with this. But if it isn't possible, you can rest assured knowing that, skillers will be up in non combat style arms over this if it ever went ahead.

It wouldn't be an issue for those of us that play the game with no articifical limitations and I, in fact, was wondering why not have it work that way? a few days ago but then I remember skillers were a thing. It does make sense but skillers could find it problematic if they aren't taken into consideration.

To battle not messing up level 3 skillers, there could be a threshold on when you start gaining strength experience. Basically what I'm saying is, there could be a certain level strength at which you start gaining experience.

A way of implementing this would be setting the first level to start gaining experience to level 10. Once you have gotten your strength to level 10, you would then start to gain 1% or 2% of your strength level in experience. This would work all the way through to level 99 strength, with various multipliers along the way, maybe every 10 levels. Something like a 1% increase every 10 levels would be an example of the multiplier.

A formula that would look something like this, "(strength level) x .02 = strength experience gained per rock mined."

For example my strength level is 94 so the formula would be, "90 x .1 = 9 strength experience per ore mined."

They won't ever do this. Can you imagine all the skillers that accidentally gain str exp ranting and asking for rollbacks?

Could be fixed easily enough: Start giving strength xp only at level 10 or higher - since strength has no effect on mining before that point anyway.
