The King will be taking some time to visit Duchess Ashley Gremoire at her manor near Rimmington, leaving the Chancellor in charge in his absence. During such a time, the castle will have a much tighter patrol and a few more securities in place for auxiliaries and guests visiting.

Hopefully nothing bad happens..

Good, I can finally hire the assassins to remove Mussolini.

Yesterday, the acolyte Icyene known as Noel Cuis succumbed to the demonic possession that'd been afflicting her for years. Caught attempting to summon a 'Master Demon' by Deliah, a brief scuffle occurred in the wilderness between the two before both warped to Falador. Noel entered in to the castle via a direct teleport and upon being recognized by Willow Konoe, severed the chancellor's arm. A much larger Icyene by the name of Varyss arrived in a clap of thunder and engaged the possessed Noel, causing considerable destruction to the castle's battlements in the process. The two hovered over the city in combat for a few minutes before Noel was forced to retreat.

The great black dragon that roosted over the city has taken off towards the south, presumably to retrieve the King for an emergency meeting. Noel's future is at stake, and the people of Falador have received a grim reminder that although their new King has brought about an end to many trials, there is always something new around the corner.

Kat's first plotline is underway, and although the first section was open only to a specific few, the future events will be available to all. How it proceeds is based on you! Well, actually, it's based on Kat's GMing, but that's less exciting to advertise.

After long hours spent away from Falador, the King had sent for the Duchess. Meeting her in her old abandoned manor, they spoke for some time, with the following being only the conclusion.

"...If I go around makin' people do shit, it wont stick around when I get bored an' leave. It ain't stabilized if it needs me pokin' my head in to make sure the kids play nice. And-" He paused. A rather sudden one, his head only barely turned, but she could see the start of a snarl taking his expression. Pushing himself to his feet, "Yer a fan of my dragon, ain't ya?" His cold glare directed her way, "How'd ya like a closer look." Midway through her response, she'd feel the ground quake from the beast landing outside.

Ashley drew a deep breath and crossed her arms once more. "I fear beasts of all kinds despise me. I've never 'ad a pet for t'is very reason; You could say t'at I am jealous, per'aps?" Exhale. Inhale. Here came the razor's edge. "You expect ad'erence en your absence? Over boredom?" Ashley widened her stance, just a bit, still gazing up at him, directly now. It was bold-stupid maybe-but bold nonetheless. There was quite often a strangely masculine air about the Duchess of Sarim. "Try war."

Jeoffrey barely responded: "I have."

Even then, a chill ran down her spine.

The Duchess shook her head. "If we ever find ourselves seated opposite to each ot'er, I swear to you: I will not break t'is vow. Even en war." She followed after the King. Eyeing his hands. His actions. Trying to read this man. She'd not expected him to exit so swiftly, but then, who would want to stay in such an ugly, drab excuse for a palace? For all her supposed love of wealth and finery, Ashley Gremoire surrounded herself with misery at every step. Dark. Dismal. Utter ruin. Even now, with the commotion outside, they could hear the howls of blood-addled creatures in the caves below, where her gruesome experiments took place. But she forgot that Jeoffrey was most at home in the slums. The dangerous back-alleys. The dusty cellars where men dealt in whispers of evil deeds yet to unfold. Oh, she forgot much, in her carefully timed misstep. Still, "You know t'e game well. You know it. An' w'ile I doubt t'at you will ever tire of winning, I t'ink you 'ave grown bored. Not of winning, no, no" she chuckled, "Ahhh... you 'ave grown bored of winning so easily." The Duchess' eyes darkened. And as the King departed. As the dragon's black wings cast a shadow over the farmland, she quietly called out to him:

"I will not be so easy..."

Just want to confirm this from what I've heard in Falador yesterday and sort of get from the story above.

Is it true the king of this Asgarnia rides an adult dragon?

I think it's technically an undead adult dragon

I am pretty certain, yes. You'll find that the quality control of RP on 42 has diminished significantly in recent times. It's part of the reason a good amount of people have quit over the years.

This really isn't the only example of it, though.

Hey, Warden! I'd appreciate it if you came and talked to me in-game. Unfortunately, that topic here is kind of flamebait - I'm glad it only got as far as this. But, since it's here, let me type up an explanation. Starting with the process of "taming" an adult dragon.

As we know through the Dragonkin and Ilujankan lore, the Ilujanka (Dragonriders) are the only creatures capable of talking to and calming down adult dragons. However, this is only the case for feral, wild-grown dragons - It also gives us the knowledge that dragons are sentient and coherent when their rage subsides.

While killing dragons through PvM, you have the rare chance of receiving a dragon egg as a drop. If you take that dragon egg to an incubator (one exists in Taverley), you can put it in there and leave it pretty much indefinitely - The incubator emulates the intense heat of the nest dragons choose (normally around lava). You can then take and raise that dragon, from the moment it hatches to just barely over an infant stage (it'll come up to around the player thighs when "fully" grown.) From this, barring the "game mechanic" argument, we can assume that dragons raised from hatching don't follow the same rules as wild, feral dragons. Additionally, with 99 summoning, you can even talk to your dragon. This idea is supported further through the use of Player-Owned Farms, where you can have actual fully-grown dragons tamed and domesticated.

Because of this, I don't believe the actual possession of and use of dragons in roleplay is exactly lorebreak. (Coincidentally, the person subtly shaming me over this here roleplays the head of a family that's used a dragon for almost a decade, and only stopped when the person who roleplayed that dragon left the game.)

Cont. in next post.

That roughly covers the game-lore side of things. Past that, I have to explain how I acquired a dragon.

Around the start of January 2016, Jagex implemented a teaser for Sliske's Endgame, and began the official start of the plotline that'd lead to it. This came in the form of a giant mockery of Guthix's Sword of Edicts being planted in the middle of the Grand Exchange, a scoreboard that kept tally of how many gods each god has killed. I think direct kills were 2 points and assists were 1 point. A lot of roleplayers decided to host events and wars alongside this, and from what I remember almost all of it took place around Falador, where Nat Renderra orchestrated a lot of it. Old names like Chunk and the remnant WOTD roleplayers joined the Sliske side, and.. well, you get the idea. It was a big long war that happened over the course of a few months. Falador got hit and terrorized by a large black dragon named Skraegorn, presumably wighted (though that was never elaborated on) to give Sliske's chosen general control over the beast. Skraegorn died after a while, and then came the task of following the retreating forces and killing them. Jeoffrey, Thalia, Nova, and a couple of others (I can't remember all of them) followed after one such person, named "The Dollmaker". It was a pretty fun plotline and it took us all the way through this booby-trapped mansion. Jeoffrey went kind of off-pace searching for more clues, and lead everybody down in to a dungeon where a bunch of monsters were held in cages. A weakened Chthonian Duke, a bunch of "dolls" and then in one cage was a lava-trenched pit containing a dragon egg. Jeoffrey picked the lock, retrieved the egg, it hatched in his hands and he crammed it in his backpack and carried on with the plotline. He raised the dragon in mostly-secret in Morytania and then, after it grew to its full height, he went through the process of killing and wighting it so he'd have control over it.

Cont, again? Wow I'm typing a lot.
