Frozen screen after login

Hi! I have been experiencing some issues with a frozen screen after logging in.

My NXT launches on my macbook with the newest client. It loads to the log in screen, I log in, I pick a world and click "play now" and then it just loads the frames of the game but freezes the game and the rest of my computer until it crashes 2 minutes later.

I have only had this problem the last 2 days. Yesterday, it worked after 3 hours of trying to log in. Not sure what to do anymore. Nothing has changed on my computer as I have been playing everyday. Super frustrating!

Any suggestions??

I've deleted my caches, redownloaded the client, tried legacy worlds, nothing is working...

Mac's are not the best machines to play RuneScape in, if you check the progress of the cache, how much does it say it's downloaded? The cache should be around 6GB in size and you need to let that download before you play or it causes slow performance.

Are you on the latest version of OSX with all the latest drivers installed? What GPU do you have? Is it dedicated like an AMD/Nvidia or are you running off an Intel one?

Something you can do if things are really not working is use the old Java legacy client and see if that's any better, keep in mind you also need to let the cache download over there too.

Hi! Thank you for the reply, I actually never had an issue playing RS on a mac for the last 11 years... But I recently updated to OS High Sierra from OS Sierra. I downgraded and it has worked perfectly since :)
