What is the competition and how can I enter?

Our Summer Sweepstake competition is a sweepstake-style competition. Head over to our competition page on Facebook, enter your details, and voila! You’re entered!

You can also gain additional entries by sharing the competition with your friends on Facebook and Twitter. For every friend who enters using the link you’ve supplied, you’ll get two additional entries into the draw.

Please note: in order to enter the competition, you will only need to supply your email address and tick the box – the other fields are optional.

When is the deadline for entries?

Entries close at 23.59 BST on June 8th, 2015.

What are the prizes?

First prize is an Alienware high-spec Gaming Laptop (full spec below).

Second prize is a Razer Chroma Suite, consisting of a BlackWidow Chroma keyboard, Kraken Chroma headset, and Naga Epic Chroma mouse – and third prize is a Razer goodie-bag with assorted Razer products.

Laptop Components: 1 Alienware 15, 1 Intel(R) i5-4210H [4th Generation Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-4210H Processor (3M Cache, up to 3.50GHz)], 1 15.6 inch FHD (1920 x 1080) IPS-Panel Anti-Glare 300-nits Display, 1 8GB Dual Channel DDR3L 1600MHz (4GBx2), 1 1TB 7200rpm SATA 6Gb/s, 1 UK Power Cord, 1 Power Supply : Alienware 180W AC Adapter, 1 8 Cell 92W Hour Battery, 1 LOT3 label, 1 NVIDIA(R) GeForce(R) GTX 965M with 2GB GDDR5, 1 Killer 1525 802.11ac 2x2 WiFi and Bluetooth 4.1, 1 Killer Wireless 1525 Driver, 1 Internal UK/Irish (QWERTY) Keyboard, 1 Alienware 6 programmable Macro module keys, 1 Additional Software W8.1.

How will we choose a winner, and how will that winner be contacted?

A winner, plus the two runners-up will be chosen using a random number generator, and will be contacted via these means:

• The email address supplied upon entry (so make it one you check frequently!)
• The RuneScape name you supply upon entry – i.e. your in-game inbox.

You will have 7 days to claim your prize. If it is not claimed, another winner will be chosen.

Full competition terms and conditions are available here.

I was going to enter until I saw:

Like Us
Follow us on Twitter
Follow us on Instagram
Subscribe to our YouTube Channel
Follow our friends at Razer

No thanks, don't want to submit my info to this data mining scheme. Whatever happened to the days where we just submit our RSN and email for contact?

Quick question noble mod, but what do you specifically mean on the page when you ask for "Your in-game name (if applicable)?" Do you mean the account name or the one it has been changed to since that is technically the "in-game name?"

(I shall forever be plagued by the thought of whether it is grammatically correct or not to put the question mark inside or outside of the quotation marks)

I just mean your RSN :)

Maybe you should check up on your reading skills. I never said any of those were required, I am disgusted that they are presented to get additional entries at all. This is just to tempt people into submitting their information. If it led me to a form with just "email and RSN" then I'd be fine with it.

Jagex is tricking people with the "Head over to our competition page on Facebook, enter your details, and voila! You’re entered!" part. I know all of that is optional, it's just really misleading for people who don't read the fine print. It's a data mining scheme.

I've always gone with outside the quotation marks unless I'm actually quoting a question.
