Hi,

I don't get why I can either be logged in on RS3 or OSRS, but not both at the same time.

The versions of the game are totally seperate from each other, so why does Jagex try to limit the player's game experience?

It's a no brainer to allow the player to be be logged in both versions of the game at the same time, to maximize the game experience.

Heck, I like to train my combat skills at Nightmare Zone and play RS3 at the same time without switching between the game versions or using multiple accounts.

Thanks.

The games may be separate, but your account is the same. Something can't be loaded into two places at the same time without severe issues.

A good analogy is like a car. You can use one car key (account info) to start the car and drive forward (one game) or backwards (other game), just not at the same time.

RS3 and OSRS should each have their own car. It's not impossible to allow 2 seperate game sessions to be made. One for RS3 and one for OSRS. Differentiating and limiting them to a game is very much possible.

Not really, you're confusing "account" and "character". One account (driver's license) should grant you access to several characters (cars), and because your character's friends list and similar data can be shared across the two games, one character can have multiple saves (driving car forward/backward). Jagex has simply developed such a bad system that people got used to only having one character under one account, and Jagex can't be bothered to fix that anymore because they got people used to paying for more characters with an extra membership fee each.

The functionality is already in place, since they allow the account to only have one log in session at a time. Each account made will have two characters in place, one for OSRS and one for RS3.

They only have to implement the functionality that each game can have one game session and enable them to have them both at the same time.

You’re not the first to ask, many have done before you, and Jagex has said it is too difficult to have one account play both games at the same time. I don’t mind if it were to be reality, but Jagex said they can’t so that’s kinda the end of it I’m afraid. The Winner of September 2019's MUPAQ™ Award is
