I saw Sparc Mac's vid where he staked in RS3, was wondering what he mean when he said people were calling him a "PID Staller" when he was on a phat win streak from staking in RS3? I've never heard of this term as I don't stake.
PID's still exist but the Reddit thread glosses over the amazing and most important detail:
You cannot control which one you get and you get given it randomly.
So unless you manage to get 2000 alts onto a server, find the one which has PID 1, and then swap it out. You're pretty screwed. And since there's no way to find out your PID without 3rd party tools, I'm gonna go ahead and say that even having this ability in RS3 would be considered abuse of third party tools and be liable to get you banned for macroing.

there use to be a way to see what PID you have or atleast gave a good prediction if you had high or low pid by following people. if you were close to the person you were following then you had lower PID, (the better one) and you could do this with lets say an alt or just other random people if you were always close to them, then you can make a good guess you had low pid.
I have a potential idea to one up the walking technique.
Take the ingame frisbee, https://runescape.wiki/w/Anti-dragon_throwing_disc - throw it at a crowd of people all overlapped on the same time. It would be my guess that person who picks it up has the lowest PID, so if you had a substantial amount of people and praying statistics are what they are, you'd be able to do the same comparison as following randomers if you were on the recieving tile too but scaled to however many people you can get to stand on a single tile at once, potentially 2000.
Then eliminate whoever grabs it from the lag pile until you manage to work out the exact PID of all 2000 people in the server.
Insanity I say.
O(N) PID sort algorithm vs O(N^2)

you may or may not know that click priority used to be based on your IP address in hindsight instead of using mine to get the flag in castle wars every single time for thousands of games I should have gone staking
or drop parties with high value items as even from a few squares away I'd pick it up
