Requirements: minimum level 1500 or 2000 or whatever.

Reason for this: Clan recruiting threads are not a 1 man job / reduces spam.

Negatives from this update: Absolutely 0.

To clarify something that came up in this thread:
This update won't allow a thread to be bumped any more than it can be currently.
There is still a 10 minute cooldown.
It simply lets others bump without spamming.

Also, i dont see why your ingame progress should affect your forum posting ability more than the initial forum access?

I mean ppl say the forums are dead as is and this would just make it more so.

So one could chalk that up as another reason against this.

Uhh, i think you forgot one or so.

The one i can think of atm is that this would be on par on why theres a bump limit.

So one person/group of threads cant dominate page 1.

So no support.

Thus this fits here as well:

It's to stop say Clans or Groups for hogging page 1. (Just an example that often happens and not belittling Clans at all)

Also there is a limit on bumping posts. 1 Bump post per 10 mins 99% follow that unwritten rule. If a thread gets bumped way too often as they sometimes do, they get reported to Forum Help thread. The F-Mod asks nice for them to slow down. It usually works well and they slow right down. Often they refuse and threads are sent to Jagex for review and they may end up locked.

Everyone needs to remember each thread deserves some time on page 1 under the spot light. If everyone had no limit the bumping would be out of control. So the Forums need a flood limiter on the bump button and bump posts.

I've addressed that point already in that thread.

When it can be done simply by posting I don't think it is worth putting time into developing something to enable it to be done without posting. I'd say the majority of the time a thread is bumped this way it causes no issue?

The issue that I see with having to do the manual bump posts is that then you get pages of nothing but "bump", or something similar. And that kind of thing just tends to detract from the conversation, much like pages of hidden posts do.
Why no game balance in RS3 Jagex || VN discussion Thread
The opposite of Justice is simply another Justice. What is Evil is subjective to each person.

Depends on the thread I suppose clan recruitment thread then I'd not expect any discussion going back far enough you'd get your posts hidden for using it as a discussion thread as there was the clan discussion thread for discussing things.... baffling having two identical threads in two different sections but anyway

if a discussion thread is being bumped without anybody posting on topic for a while then I'd consider it dead and suggest fmods lock it but that's all subjective
