I think that the Runescape3 and Oldschool Runescape teams would benefit greatly from merging websites. Jagex could have both on the same website but have an Oldschool Theme option vs the standard one, and when switching themes you would also switch over to OSRS type news, hiscores, etc, like the website. If this would be too much we could have them side by side or something like that since they're two sides of the same coin it would make more sense and I don't think either player base would really mind.

Originally this thread was named "Update OSRS Forums" but after bringing it up one day to Mod Ash on a Q&A stream he said they simply don't have the resource to move the OSRS forums, though he would love to see this he suggested that if they were to do any work on their forums/website like that it would be implementing an OSRS Theme to the site, and that sounded just as glorious to me! So I would like to start pushing for something like this. I know many players would appreciate an Oldschool feel to the forums/website again. I feel like the OSRS Website isn't very useful besides the News section, but doing something like this i'd like to imagine would return a lot of OSRS players to the forums and website vs alternate sites like Reddit/Twitter/Instagram. Please leave any positive feedback on this I'd love to hear everyone's input! ^_^

No support. Its fine as is imo.

Also, what makes 07 so special as to get their own "forum"?...

This is something I am quite passionate about. Rs3 and OSRS are nearly the same player base. Therefore a lot of people are asking questions, suggesting etc. however, rs3 has about 10 times the subforums. Why doesn't OSRS have a new update subforum where we can discuss the new updates in game. Isn't this essential considering feedback according to Jagex is what they want. People say that OSRS can be discussed in compliments and rants but they hardly are because people believe it's RS3 only.

What I am saying is why not have seperate forum? We have people on the forums that help others and give great advice in the OSRS section atm so it's not like we will lose the help from forum users, and it would make the OSRS community closer. Right now in my opinion the forums are just a pile of threads chucked around in any subforum you want because the two versions of the game keep getting twisted within each other.

Separating the forums will not solve the dead forum issue because the real cause of the problem lies with the lack of features and lack of JMod attention. Chasing Nightmares

It's a different game, I think it deserves a different thread. It's not fine as is many osrs players won't go near forums because its so RS3

Exactly, thank you Black Apple! I feel OSRS players don't have as much access to forums as RS3 players do and that's not completely fair considering OSRS has way more players. It doesn't add up.

I feel like this would be an excellent feature for the forums, like I said it doesn't just have to be just an OSRS forum update the forums require more attention in general! Yes forums need more Jmods. I think giving OSRS players their own type of forum would increase the number of players who use them.

Lol go farther down and visit the two locations for Classic, its the dark side of Runescape. Trust me OSRS isn't left out as much as they are.

Because no one plays Classic it's completely dead. OSRS isn't dead it's thriving and should have it's own forum page style and setup. For as many players as there are in OSRS Jagex should be trying to accommodate.
