Now that "shift-clicking" to drop certain items is in development, could "shift-clicking" to build (and remove) furnitures in POH also be considered in order to further improve the QOL for construction?
Whatever engine features are created for the SHIFT+click thing that's being polled will, presumably, be possible to expand. Perhaps with more engine work, depending on how they go about it. We'll see.
However, I don't recommend we commit to rushing out dozens of these things up front. The poll results for this one are pretty darn clear, but it remains a controversial topic, and I'd be inclined to see how the launch goes before opening discussions on what else to do with it.
Anyway, I'd very much expect it to be possible.

dont see why you added more worlds, used to be over 1k players on every back in the day, now there is like 500.
I'm not sure what you mean by "back in the day" - after the initial peak from our launch in 2013, the number of simultaneous players online has generally been going up and up.
More significantly, the new worlds are in a different place to previous ones. Which means that, depending on where in the world you are yourself, there's a chance that connecting to these will be better for you.

Can you add reward shop to last man standing to get more people playing, like maybe old fists of guthix rewrards. Give tickets to like top 5 in casual and competitive.
Thanks for the suggestion. That'd be a nice way to introduce those old items, if people want them.
Happy birthday pete!!! Also with the new 12 worlds, will we be seeing any new total level worlds? A 1000 total, and maybe a 2250 total world would be really neat!
With more worlds available, we've a better chance to do that kind of thing without restricting existing players so much, yeah.
YA I just meant that back in real 2006-2007 every world had over 1000 players easily usually with an average of 1300, now Its like an average of 500 players, that was the point I was making,
True, though we did split the community in half since then with the launch of OSRS. I'm not sure exactly how the total world count compares. Anyway, OSRS itself is generally trending upwards, year on year, and I'm glad to have a bit more capacity.
What's the ETA on shift-clicking? Everyone was thinking it would be the next update (this one).
The poll only finished a few minutes ago, so that was perhaps a little optimistic of them. Mod Atlas and his engine team know it's a hot topic though, and will be on it.
Throwing in a reference to the lack of Australian servers (STILL!!!!) just made me mad. So mad that I'm writing this post.
Why even bother mentioning it? Saying "we hear your complaints but we have no plans of getting our act together enough to actually do anything about it" DEFINITELY doesn't help.
I work in IT here in Australia and I can tell you it is not difficult to set up a basic server with DDoS protection, there are plenty of companies who would be willing to get it up and running.
Or, you could just be honest and scrap the whole idea altogether, it would make us Australians feel a little less spit on by you.
If we hadn't mentioned it, you'd still feel neglected at the introduction of new worlds somewhere else instead of in the place where they were promised before. I regret that we told you early August; we passed on the info to you in all good faith, but it seems the estimate we were given was for standard hosting, not taking into account OSRS's unusual DDOS protection requirements.
OSRS was never completely unprotected, of course. In the earlier days, we'd got DDOS mitigation that could handle a fair bit, but the attacks were simply orders of magnitude larger. In 2015, the entire game could be basically offline for ages. You'll notice there's been less of that lately. That's because the sysadmins spent the time required to rejig the entire network to mitigate that sort of thing more effectively; it wasn't just a matter of telling the hosting company to plug in a DDOS protection box. Without going into details about what's under the hood (since we prefer not to share that info) 2016 became a lot smoother as the year went on, and we're likely to stick with this approach because it's a lot better than what we had before. Unfortunately, applying it in Australia is taking a long time, and your patience is appreciated while the various supplier companies perform the network works required.
Those updates are great! But none will use elysian in half of those places, isnt worth the lost in dps.... can we have elysian to work in olm fight? this will really be a big buff to the shield.
It already does work on quite a lot of the direct attacks there, and we're not all that interested in making that fight easier.
Also I had to look up why we where given a war ship, turns out it is a very rare item.
My question is could Jagex do something with this war ship?
We could indeed. Your idea of mounting it in the house is a nice one.
Sweet update! How is Ghost (or West I forgot who) doing with the superior critters makeover?
It's Mod Ghost, and he's still working on it. I've seen some pretty ghastly monsters on his screen lately.
When is ability for pures to enter ape atoll coming in? thanks
No date is set for such a change.

Hey Mod Ash, we have new US worlds, Australians worlds coming, BUT :
Are we seeing a CANADIAN world any soon?
I gather these new worlds are already considerably better for a lot of people in North America, since they're a long way from the original ones. If the sysadmins find that putting some physically inside Canada would make enough of a difference for enough players to warrant going there, they certainly can.
