I just read the new proposal for loot key scroll, and I hope the J mods behind this stupid idea get a slap on the head.

The reason we do these posts in advance is to gather feedback before the poll goes live. It's quite clear a lot of people are against the restricted key use, which is something we'll look at.

Doesn't matter. The fact that the original keys got 74% and should've passed but didn't due to blatant poll manipulation means they didn't have any reason to be tampered/reworked to begin with. And then, out of all the idea's you could've possibly came up with, the one currently written on the dev blog is the one you choose? This is why I'm angry. Because there was nothing wrong with the originals, it was quite clear to see that with a SEVENTY FOUR PERCENT vote the community wanted them and chinese/venezuelan votes alone caused it to fail. And then you come back with this ridiculous random proposal and expect THAT to pass? If the original proposal was an absolute banger (good) idea and got 74% why in any of your brains would you think nerfing it to the point of near unusability would make it pass?

My advice to you, simply check the poll votes with your silly j-mod tools and look at how many chinese / venezuelan IP addresses voted no. Then think to yourself "Hmm. 74% yes, and although there is some legitimate chinese / venezuelan players most of these are probably poll manipulation. Let's pass the vote because it's quite clear the community wanted them and the fact that 1-2 thousand players didn't want them won't make much overall difference. Instead of ruining the keys, why don't you come up with a USEFUL change like making them not work against iron men, so if an iron man dies they have a chance to come back and re-loot their power ammy or whatever menial stupid item it is they voted no because of.

The latest idea behind the loot keys is quite simply bad.

The scrolls will either be too expensive for general use in which case they will be used exclusively for high-risk fights which are few and far between. You would also run a risk of wasting your expensive key scroll on someone risking nothing, imagine a scenario where a 1-itemer attacks you with an empty bucket, you'd waste a key charge on this.

If the scrolls are cheap enough for general use, they would just become annoying because you'd have to redeem one every 5 kills, I pk in PvP worlds, I can get 5 kills every 30 minutes, I'd be going through about 10 key scrolls a day, again they would be wasted on kills that I don't even want to use them on.

The argument that key scrolls would encourage people to attack people in the wilderness is TRUE, and that's the point of them. We can kill bots for their dragon bones, kill skillers for their supplies, the skilling methods have been placed into the wildy with the intention that you'll get attacked while doing them, you just need to get over this fact. If black chins weren't in the wildy, they wouldn't be worth what they are now, more pkers = less skillers = higher resources prices = more skillers.

You just need to release the keys as they were originally intended. It will be good for everyone, even if they can't look past their immediate self-interest. Failing rationality, poll the original loot key scroll idea but separately: (1) for bounty hunter worlds, (2) for PvP worlds, and (3) for all worlds in the wilderness.

This is a good suggestion. In the end, having them bounty hunter only would be better than not at all but I still think we need to stop shooting ourselves in the foot and just make them work for all worlds on the wilderness. Original poll got 74%. We shouldn't even be arguing about what to do with them. They should've just passed. We're trying to fix a nonexistent problem.

Fist of all what are the req's for agility.

I think they should have added corrupt pvp weapons and armours but even with pvp armours. this situation:

player gets a pvp armour drop. They can't wear it because they need to pay a fee.
Does that mean if I kill that player I will not get any drop since the armour "needs a fee to be paid" so that I get some value out of it?

Why can't they just make it as you get the drop and you wear it, it automatically becomes corrupt and you have 60mins of wearing it. It then becomes untradeable. The only time its tradable is if you pick it up and do not wear it. Same as before.

I think they should eventually add pvp weapons and instead of 60mins it degrades, make it that it have a number of charges/hits before it turns to dust.

The minus lamps should give more xp loss. This could be a great item for a maxed player who wants to become a pure. The only advantage of this is pvping with less stats. If this was the case I would suggest that hp wasn't part of the combat levels you could drop.

Apart from all this I think they should add a pvp world (still same function as other worlds)
where REV's run around the wildy with high damage stats but increased drop rate on loot but only a small increase. but these rev's would have a huge range and can come out of the mist and attack you just like old rs

wilderness bank: another idea where by some items can only be used in the wilderness but are similar items to normal items (whips, godswords, etc or add in only pvp weapons) Players could take these from their wilderness bank and pk with them but couldn't use them outside the wilderness. These Items would be rare drops from bosses and rev's. A player who kills another player would have a chance say 1/50 in getting a wilderness bank key and therefore a chance at getting a good item from the player that died. These items would have a degraded time value of say 24hrs so that someone doesn't hoard all the items.

Why does the dev blog still say the proposed change is key restrictions? get this garbage off of there. They got a 74% vote with the best possible scenario and you think putting massive restrictions on them will make them pass somehow? you're already aware that the community is against the restrictions so why does the homepage still say this trash on it rofl

agreed. Why does the dev blog still have the 5 key restriction written on it, nobody wants this. Y'all are so fucking stupid. the poll vote got to 74% its clear the community wanted it. bots and venezuelans were the 1% that made this fail. just put it in the game idiots.

Minus XP Lamp:
Change this to much greater than 500 exp (with limitations), here's why

- When a pure levels defense, they usually don't realize it until they level
- Sometimes this mistake is made a few times
- Making this mistake on different types of pures costs vastly different amounts of exp

________________________________________________________________________

Loot Key Scroll:
Other than killing green drag bots, we need an incentive to kill more than 1 person between banking, here's some suggestions

- On BH worlds, your emblem upgrade doubles: Tier 1 to Tier 3, Tier 4 to Tier 6, etc.
- On BH worlds, upon killing a target you have a chance at receiving a scaled Tier:
If you have 1 key you get a Tier 2 + your upgrade, 2 keys = Tier 3 + your upgrade, etc. These emblems would also appear in the key itself.
- On all worlds, well I can't think of one that doesn't give players the ability to cheat.

With that being said, we need the ability to loot food/pots from kills. If we don't, it will be very unlikely we will be able to stay in the wild and continue killing as we will most likely be drained of supplies after 1-2 kills.

PvP Armours:
ADD THE LOW LEVEL VARIANTS

- Pures will have a field day with this. Just do it.

For minus exp lamps, limiting a character to 10 lamps seems like a very out-of-place, specific number. It's just a very ugly thing to think about: You can make 9 more mistakes on your account... 8... 7... 6... My recommendation instead: Can use once a week and you always retain quest experience (no 1 def b gloves).

Thoughts?
