It does indeed appear as though most of the questions will fail, although it is very early days.

The Revenant Cave proposal passed the poll threshold, so Jagex must honour their word and introduce them even if the rewards fail the vote. I expect Jagex would keep proposing different possible rewards until they reach 75% on a poll question.

Interesting, Jagex polled PvP armour back in 2014:
Should we add ancient warrior armour sets (not the weapons) similar to the armour sets of Morrigan, Statius and Zuriel to the drop lists of the three Wilderness bosses?
Yes 61.2% (8250 votes)
No 38.9% (5234 votes)

Hmm darn looks like everything but the oblisk is going to fail.

Without any unique drops it really doesn't make sense to add the revenant caves. I would rather see something else added as part of this rejuvenation than a cave full of dead content.

I for one voted yes on everything but the keys.

Jagex perhaps consider something else other than the caves if all the rewards fail.

Rev caves PASSED their poll.. jagex has to add them now (because the community said yes).

It's early yet for calling the game, but it does look like that poh obelisk could make it in (and that would give your rev caves a "unique" drop). =)

Is there anything that says if something passes the 75% threshold it "has" to be implemented? That really seems like a big flaw where they add content that is only half finished because people voted 75% for yes then couldn't decide what direction to do with it.

It's like asking for a new lvl 80 weapon offering 3 sets of stats. None of which get 75% so choosing to release the weapon as a cosmetic only item...

I just shudder to think what kind of random junk they will have to cobble together to create 2+mil an hour worth of drops with no unique items.

I stand corrected.. you are right, there is nothing that says they have to add it just because it passed its' poll (the cross mini game rewards shop being the example: passing its' poll with 83% in poll #14 and still not being in the game is a good point of reference).

I feel somewhat lost because I guess as an ironman I do not understand the argument for this content. (Yeah, Ironman bw)

After seeing this poll twice, it is clear either the purpose was not communicated well or these items need to come into the game another way. I agree with most people that Rev Caves will be dead content as they stand. I personally am tired of seeing PvM in the wildy. If it were not for a few items and clues, most ironmen would avoid it completely. When I walk into the wildy, I essentially accept that I am a sitting duck because even if I kill a normie, they risk nothing. I lose more supplies then it is worth just fighting. It is not fun PvMing in wildy only to lose a few hours running from groups of normies or dying to them and losing supplies several times. If wildy PvM content is going to pass , the incentive for Ironmen needs to increase. I think the ancient shards are appealing for irons, but you basically need a supply source (not profitability) similar to pre-nerf zulrah to get ironmen to vote yes to PvM wildy content.

I would suggest if this content is meant to bring non-pvpers to the wildy, the rewards should not be PvP gear. If this content is meant to introduce pkers to more PvM, then it should be communicated in that manner and not as a rewarding PvM activity.

I also just personally hate the idea of degrading armor. Personally, the time invested is not equal to the reward. Again, this may be because I am an ironman and do not PK. However, why would I vote yes to something that makes it easier to kill me doing the content I already dislike doing.

Feel free to disagree and I would like to hear if you do, but I would think this is the popular opinion within the Ironman community.

**** NEGATIVE XP LAMPS*****

Would love to see it scale based on combat level... I for one was not paying questing for diaries and completed a 5k def xp quest, leveling me from 45-46 defense. I am currently about 480 xp over my limit. It would cost me 50m and all 10 of my uses just to get back to 45 based on the current way it would be set up. Possibly a minimum of 50 xp set back with up to 10x the level? Meaning we could reduce between 50 and 500 total xp per lamp?

I'd be more inclined to help the PvP community if people didn't do things like say "sit" when they kill you unarmed while you're doing a clue, or rag people for minor amounts of loot. For most players a PvP update means more pkers. For PvM players, more pkers just means a more frustrating game.

PvP updates should be intended to reward PvP players for fighting EACHOTHER.

They shouldn't encourage PKers to hunt players who aren't going to put up a fight.
They shouldn't force PvM players into the wilderness so they can be easy loot.
And most of ALL they should encourage players to fight opponents of similar skill, risk, and intention.

You want the community to upvote PvP content?
Make it in a way that it doesn't encourage PvP players to have one-sided battles on free kills and instead encourages them to FIGHT. If PvP players WANT to kill PvM players they should be able to, but the most rewarding PvP experience should come from two PKers of similar risk and skill fighting eachother.

A skilled, geared PKer killing a low-risk player doing PvM content IS NOT PVP. That's against the principles of game theory: funneling each player into a situation that is uninteractive, anti-competitive, and against the entire spirit of a PvP game.

Do I like rev caves? Yes.
Did I vote yes for rev caves? Yes I did.
Do I blame the community for not wanting this? Absolutely not.

Because yet again, this content discourages PvP players from fighting (AKA actual PvP), and just encourages them to hit loot-pinata players who won't fight back and try to kill them before they can TP out.

Sorry but I have too much faith in society to believe a +30 year old still brags about his e-peen and calls people scrubs. So I'll chalk this down to salt in your Cheerios. Have a nice day you angry young man.

So once again no to easy mode loot keys.

You know what kid, I'm tired of your stupid shit. You're just as angry as I am, so that's a failed argument right there.

Stop saying "easy mode". The point of them isn't to make the game easy, and they're the same as deadman. You think living on deadman is easy just because you have all the loot as a key in your inventory? nope. So you lose. Scrub.

I'm voting no on everything because I need the the minus xp lamps changed to fix my account. Make it scale so they give more negative xp the higher the level and usable over lvl 50 (because why is that such a massive issue when you can only use 10 on your acccount?). What about the accounts with 61 attack? Why are only pures and skillers the ones benifiting from the lamp? What about the other builds? So if I can't have the one thing on the poll I care about fixed I'm voting no on everything.

I love how the first thing the poll says is "We've listened to your feedback regarding the Revenant Cave" then the only change made to the minus xp lamp is it has a level cap on it as well now but you scroll through the forum and twitter comments and everything mentioning the xp lamp is saying its pointless being such a low xp reward and capped. I haven't seen anyone concerned about it being overpowered. You're limiting so many players that the lamp is useful to so the price of the item itself is going to me much much lower. If you make it useful for all account builds it'll not only help out more players but the cost of the lamp is going to stay much higher rewarding the revenant killers even more. Everybody wins.

Dead content cave coming soon...

So everything is failing except the obelisk? What is this? U cant expect revs to come without any rewards (pvp armour in general). If nothing passes just dont bother with making rev caves. I dont get it how ppl want rev caves but no rewards, why complain aboud never new content if u dont want any new items makes no sense.

But.. the obelisk IS passing.

Imagine how many noobs are getting scammed in house partys because of this. Is this the things the community wants?
