For the pets that have party hats and what not on them, can we PLEASE have an option to keep this on our pet? I'm enjoying it and the Santa hat is my favorite rs item and has been since i got my first one all those years ago at the christmas event. I've been playing on and off since 2001, and just would love to see this be an option for us. Maybe make it part of the christmas event? As in each year it becomes unlocked.

I love them too, but I think it'd get boring if they were there 24/7
The Wise Old Man's involvement: This is the best use of the Wise Old Man since Love Story. He's played bit parts in events and stuff since then, but here we once again have him in a good role that makes good use of a certain quirk of his (namely his, ahem, taking what he perceives to be rewards).
The Land of Snow and Winter Funfair musics added to OSRS. Those musics are must-plays every Christmas - they both evoke the fun side of winter and snow, and childhood days when our world became a winter wonderland.
Returning to Diango's workshop and having the pixies be a part of it. Loved it, except I was disappointed that Rosie (the outspoken, very chatty overseer) was demoted to just another pixie and a 'Foreman' pixie (with the same sprite as Donnacha though I'm not sure if it's supposed to be Donnacha) leading the pixies instead. Why was this change made? Rosie was still the pixie overseer in RS3 last year when the pixies made their long-overdue return there.
Still, it was good use of the pixies. Loved the Anti-Santa bit where the pixies don't know what batteries are and said they didn't mind the Evil Tree thing that much since it was good XP. And I love how they were given a holiday in June - I've always liked the pixies and felt they needed some appreciation for the hard work they do (even if they sometimes need our help to get all their products ready for delivery).
The 'talk like a snow imp' thing would make sense if this were an RS3 event, where thanks to previous events and the Myths of the White Lands quest we've seen plenty of snow imps and know just what their usual speech pattern is. But in OSRS we've never run into any snow imps, in Christmas events or elsewhere. So our knowledge of how they speak comes from knowledge of RS3 that we assumed our in-game character didn't have access to. It'd be like our character making an offhand reference to the Arc and its currency chimes even though they haven't been mentioned anywhere else in OSRS.
Corsair Cove's being the place for Santa and Jack Frost to take their holiday. I've never seen a holiday event that requires one to start a quest to finish. All the events take place in areas that are accessable from the start. Granted, I see the need to draw attention to the new area, but still it seems weird.
Rude Dolph. Yes, I get the joke, and the 'sneezing on the fourth wall' bit is hilarious. But still, it seems kind of a strange portrayal, especially since we have a different Rudolph in the RS3 event. Are they related?
Things I didn't like:
What was up with the Donner kebab? It serves no purpose other than to be dark holiday humor that is completely out of place with the rest of the event. It raises just SO many questions. We KNOW Santa would NOT cook one of his reindeer on a whim (but we also know the Wise Old Man didn't have much of an opportunity to do it either). Did Donner go crazy? Did the Anti-Santa do something to Donner? Did Rude Dolph get in a fight with Donner that got out of hand? Was this actually Donner's counterpart from ScapeRune, and the regular Donner is elsewhere? Will next year's event be about finding out the real story?
All in all, aside from that, I liked this event. I liked it even better than the G-Nome Project in RS3. And the combination blue party hat/Santa hat is a nice reward item.
One more thing, a small nit to pick: When the tree guard shows up the surveillance video, the Wise Old Man is dressed in the Santa suit. But this cut scene is set while we were at Thessalia's ... before we get the Santa suit shrunken to a size the Wise Old Man can wear. The Wise Old Man should be dressed in his normal attire during that scene, as he shouldn't have the Santa suit yet.
