Other big problems in W45 -anglerfish -rev caves -bolting a throwaway account from single to multi while being under attack

Removing unnoting will make the server completely unplayable for players with even somewhat high ping (since its only 1 server, US) just add the eating delay when touching bank booth.

*Xp should be lost on death without a doubt, its a permanent server and theres the ridiculous 50x rebuild rate, giving couple more skill protects on higher total or something could be nice addon

I think Anglerfish will become less of a problem with un-noting no longer being a thing, you'll likely need the more powerful food to help survive.

I dont fully agree, but another HUGE problem with anglerfish is how they are obtained, 99% of the servers anglerfish are fished on throwaway fishing accounts, who mule the fish to a pvp protected account at the fishing area. And then they sell the fish for 4-5k ea, and everyone is forced to buy them because theres no reason to try to pvp without anglerfish if ur opponent has them.

Having anglerfish = eat to boost hp and be good to go
vs
Not having anglerfish = brew to boost hp+restore+supercombat+rangepot to get ur stats back

Some initial thoughts

Is there anyway for you to differentiate between PvP and PvM combat with regard to this change? Currently in seasonal, if you get attacked by a monster you still have to wait 3 minutes to get your energy/spec back which is annoying for non-PvP activities

This is already the case, unless you mean attacking from outside which is a different issue that seasonals still has

This server has been out for TWO years and it needs extreme catch up mechanics to encourage new players to start playing.

Upon leaving tutorial island, a player should gain the following:

12 hours of Protection from PvP combat; cannot attack players for 12 hours of in-game time. (prevents ragging)

Cannot attack any of the Godwars bosses or Corp under protection.

Level 70 in Attack, Strength, Defence, Range and Magic

Completion of King's Ransom, Monkey Madness, Lost City, Animal Magnetism, Fremmy Isles, Desert Treasure, and be able to start RFD to gain access to Barrows Gloves.

50x Experience Rate

An untradeable equivalent to the Dragon Scimitar the disappears after the protection is over

An untradeable equivalent to 10k Rune Knives that disappear after the protection is over.

An untradeable equivalent to 10k elemental and catalytic runes that disappear when the protection is over.

You have to find the main issue and not just add buncha small updates to potentially revive it.

The main issue with w345 is that it has been out for 2 years and there is no way for a level 3 to be able to start out fresh and new to compete with the existing player base. The reason is because 1. W345 is basically Ironman-mode. No one can buy anything at all as a low level without being in a big team. THERE needs to be a low tier shop which sells all the necessary items for a beginner to start out. Everything from swordfish to dhide, potions etc. 2. However, once the low level player has reached new heights they will get pked by someone in full ancestral, ags. (note; the issue is not purely that GE doesn't exist for low level players, the issue is the low amount of players too.)

W345 needs to get alot of thought put into it. Once the OSRS Team feels it has a good set of updates that will make it not die out, the server needs to get reset and restart the permanent server all fresh again. Though, you guys need to have come up with some brilliant ideas so the new fresh server won't end up like the current one right now. Deadman has alot of potential and I think that can already be seen in the recent Deadman Tournaments.

Also, please please please make it impossible to teleport to a safezone with Poh portals if you are skulled.

Reading this thread just blows me how little people know about w45 dmm mechanics or how it works at all compared to seasonal and other PvP. Even you (JMods) seem to not know alot. You said for example in the thread

THIS is already fixed in w45..

I suggest the OSRS team to write a whole list of all rules and changes in W345 compared to normal runescape in a new news post once all updates are made.
