I wonder if anyone has had the same issue, I keep on being disconnect this evening it started this evening around 5 pm game time. I have tried the steps given but it is not working.

What can you suggest I do?

Oh my good do I am glad I am not the only one!!

I am having the same issue...

I have been stressing for the past few hours trying to stay in game for more than a few minutes.
I've tried wired, wireless, rebooted PC, disk checked, defragged and nothing helped.

I Just tried to play on my other PC (The one I am currently on) which is a much better system thinking it would be OK but it seems that the same thing is happening on this PC too which made me realise the issue wasn't my PC so there must be something going on..

even checked my connection speeds and everything is fine my end.

Whats happening Jagex?

Now the wife's having problems lagging and disconnecting and unfortunately got killed as she was in combat at the time...

I've had no problems.
Neither have the 114,000 people logged in right now.

It's probably coincidental that you're both having this (common!) issue at the same time, but you might want to share details around location, server and ISP - if these are similar, it can indicate a problem up-stream of your network.

@Caveman, disconnections are a network-related problem, so if you're using the same LAN, then changing devices won't help.

I've got no connection issues with anything else other than RS which is why i came to ask on the forums.. My son is also playing at the moment but has no issue at all which if it was my connection I'm sure he would be disconnecting too?

I have multiple connections to connect via and I'm having the same problem on both.

My wife however was also playing with no problems whilst this has been going on and has only had a couple of stutters and 1 disconnect.. she is now back playing fine but I'm still unable stay connected in game for a minute no matter what device I'm on or connection I'm using..

I was playing earlier today fine but since about 5 as the op said I have had the same problem.

they wont be with the same isp as me either as I am with a new company, ive tried several servers with no results and all speed tests/network diagnostics are coming back fine.

As a general rule, yes, a connection problem should affect all devices. If not, then it suggests the issue is between the device playing up and the LAN, rather than the WAN..

Can also be to do with the server you're connecting to. If you're not already, then it's worth playing on a server with as low a ping as possible, as these are generally closer to you, and therefore offer a more reliable connection. Alternatively, trying a server in a different datacentre can help - generally servers in the same DC have the same ping, so try on a server with a different one (but not too high).

Problem with network issues is they're intermittent. You'll rarely find a guaranteed fix, but there are lots of small things that can help.

Yeah if you ready my posts then you would see i have done all of that and more so i cant see how it is my issue?

the website keeps becoming unreachable too but its the only website doing ti everything else works fine for me just RS and the jagex website im having issues with..

I've tried other servers, i more than understand what ping is and how it works, I'm fairly well versed in pc's and computing.

I've covered all grounds and found no issues with my connection anywhere.

surely that cant be coincidence?

Hopefully it will fix itself soon, we obviously aren't going to get any help here lol.

There's always someone complaining of connection problems. With 114k active players, someone's bound to have an issue. It is very much a coincidence.
Where the issue is on Jagex's end, this board is flooded with posts and threads.
It does happen, but it's uncommon.

But, as you essentially say, it's everyone's own responsibility as to whether they can play or not. So, good luck with it.

BEEN DISCONNECTED MANY TIMES ALL DAY (18th of July) OSRS.
This has not happened to me in a very very long time and never on osrs

Seems to be a common issue. I've had this happen a bunch the last few days and this never used to happen. Clearly there are lots of server issues lately...hopefully Jagex addresses and fixes this.
