Hi,

I recently received an email saying that my membership payment cannot be processed. I understand that the card I used to pay for my membership has expired and I am now using a new card. However, I have a gold premier membership. When I clicked on the link to pay, it takes me to the normal membership checkout, i.e. 1 month/3 months package. From what I understand, I have already paid for the year's worth of membership. If I have not, I cannot currently repurchase my gold premier membership because the promotion has expired like months ago. Your advice was for me to update my card details but the link I got on my message to do that does not even work. I am not sure how you expect me to continue my subscription when it is not even an option for purchase?!

Gold premier membership doesn't expire until at least November...

You can go into the payment section and find the 'Add card' button. If you did delete the old card details, once a new package comes in at the end of the year, or when you want to purchase other items (bonds, TH keys etc), you will have the opportunity to enter the new card details at checkout.

This article should have the procedures. Please have a look.

Edit: I feel like I'm dumb, how did you receive the e-mail regarding the card details: Out of nowhere, or were you trying to re-subscribe?

Do you have another RS account you are paying a membership on?
Maybe a forgotten account?
This error message should not be in relation to your 'Reference' account.

Work through the points on the Multiple charges support page.
If you cannot find a reason for it, go to this page and work through it then use the 'Contact Us' button at the bottom to message Billing Support.

I lost my tote which contained my id and cc's. I reported to my bank that the cards where lost and they issued me a new card. Jagex has attempted to debit my recurring membership fee on the lost/closed/changed acct number. I am trying to add the new card number to my existing membership and the only link I am provided is to cancel my acct and purchase a new subscription.

This is not even close 2 what I want to do or have you force me to do. I have had this recurring membership account for more than 5-7 years. And you want me to cancel this and get a new subscription. nah nah nah. Allow me to add the new cc number on the same acct you have been charging for numerous years so that you can continue charging and I can continue playing. not cancelling an awesome acct only to establish a new subscription 4 u

No one on the Jagex payroll answers in here.

Answer:
When you get a brand new card (new numbers) you have to set up a new subscription.
This new subscription will auto-cancel the existing subscription.

You will still be charged at your old subscription rate as long as you set the new subscription up within a week of the old subscription ending.

p.s. cancelling a Runescape account and cancelling a subscription are not the same.
There is no need to actually 'cancel' the old subscription, just set up a new one and it will override and auto-cancel the old.
