You guys are right, it's not a hint it's an outright statement. This content is not enjoyable. Least of all not appropriate for a clan cup after not having one for so long. Forcing people into the content to make it seem the content is active, great logic.royal society magazine
We would agree that regardless of the profitability of the loot box trade, the risks associated with them are worryingly high
*Hiding in tall grass, waiting for the dino to get out of range.* *Dino is almost out of range, I'm waiting for it to move 1-2 squares farther so I can move out safely.* *Dino decides to roar and start walking backwards, as soon as I exit the grass patch, moving towards the spot I wanted to get.* *15+ seconds are wasted.* *Dino's finally gone out of range, I begin setting up the traps.* *Dino has done a full circle and I'm still not done building.* *I'm within the Dino's range and I have used up my surge, so I have to run out of range normally. I begin running.* *Dino is as fast as me, moving diagonally, towards the same direction I'm headed.* *I am unable to get out of range because my character's moving left and right each square instead of moving in a straight line diagonally* *Dino spots me* *Dino goes into hiding for 1h*
I don't know what kind of masochist enjoys BGH, but it's literally the worst thing I've ever done on RS3 in my life. It's the thing that gave me the most cancer in this game so far, thanks to the awful square-walking system, the tick system and the server lag combined, on top of the random roars ruining the rotation, the rng for getting logs where you may chop the tree for a full circle and get no more than 1-2 logs, etc. Whoever came up with these mechanics should get fired. And the same goes for whomever designed the Agility course in Anachronia. And the whole island's pathing too. I constantly surge 2 squares at a time because my character won't walk in a straight line in a path that has a single walking square width, despite being wide enough to fit 3-4 players at once.
Waiting to see who will participate in this event, other than a bunch of elitists from EE and such.

It sounds like you are just bad and have learnt how do things even remotely correct.
- You should always be going in the opposite direction the dino is walking when in it's zone. --- I suggest learning the pattern/rotation of the dino since you are new to it. - It sounds like you haven't purchased the faster building. --- I recommend doing that before judging the build speed. - Getting caught hasn't cost you a kill since the first week of LOOT so it can't reset when you're caught. - Cutting logs and vines has a 75% chance, you can easily get 6-8 per dino rotation. --- In most cases there's a tree/vine spawn in a safe spot or near grass.
As for the pathing/tick system, you are just bad.
While yes, you can't pick it up instantly in the blink of an eye, anyone who's actually spent more than an hour knows how/where to surge. It sounds like you didn't even give the island a chance and you blaming your mistakes on Jagex.
There's plenty of things to critcize the island, but you choose your inability to learn instead.
