Revert Rs3 to Rs2, give people their old accounts back. Runescape essentially turned into a copy of every other mmorpg with the eoc update. People that spent years on accounts lost them to Rs3, the worlds are near empty compared to osrs. I know this sounds wild as can be but trust me, I know the mentality of people, this would be one of the better decisions Jagex ever made, along with RS mobile, that was a great idea, whoever thought of it should get a raise.
It’s been said time and time again, they won’t be making any more Legacy games. Your old account still exists, skills intact, in RS3.
I suggest you try playing now as it is worlds better than it was back in 2012. 7 years is a long time and I know a number of people who have returned to be shocked at how much smoother EoC is.
With that all said, reverting 7 years of content to return another 7 years of content (that, again, still exists) to people who, for lack of a better term, gave up on the game is a very poor business decision in any regard.
Honestly it's a poor business decision on their part to have not surveyed a group first to see if people would even like the eoc update, it's a poor decision for them to keep updating rs3 when the servers are almost empty. The only reason the company didn't go bankrupt is probably because of Osrs. If they reverted it back, do you know how many people would start playing again? I think Jagex needs to hire some people who can use their brain, or just someone who understands the psychology of humans to a tee.
Btw, I went back, saw it was still a cheap imitation of World of Warcraft and left again.... Tbh though, it was probably smart they released eoc, maybe they knew it was garbage and that they'd lose their audience. Maybe they had Osrs planned from the get-go as a way for people to forcibly restart their characters, make it to where people don't get bored with playing Runescape… If that was the case, I'd say they obviously don't care about their audience, heck even if it wasn't I'd imagine they still don't care about the audience, and that's why Runescape will inevitably die out. You can't have progression where wickedness exists, trust me...
