Low level stone spirits (copper, tin, iron, coal, mithril, adamant) are some of the most common drops in the game, and are now all but worthless. Even stacking, they're not worth picking up. Worse, coal, mithril, and adamant ore drops, and particularly noted ones, used to make some monsters quite valuable; now they're useless duds.

Meanwhile, high level stone spirits have only been trickled into the game as a tiny bandaid for a minority of high level monsters and bosses. High-end stone spirits are largely too rare and expensive to be worthwhile

There are too many different kinds of stone spirits to manually rework drop tables in an coding resource efficient way that will repair the economy for them. I suggest instead condensing stone spirits into tiers:
-Least Stone Spirits: effective on Copper, Tin, Iron, Coal, Silver
-Lesser Stone Spirits: effective on Mithril, Adamant, Luminite, Runite, Gold
-Greater Stone Spirit: effective on Orichalcite, Dracolith, Necrite, Phasmatite
-Grand Stone Spirit: effective on Banite, Light Animica, Dark Animica

Then, simply replace existing stone spirit entries as follows:
-Copper, Tin, Iron, and Silver spirits [former level 1-20] -> Least Spirits [modern level 1-20]
-Coal, Gold, Mithril, and new Luminite spirits [former level 30-50] -> Lesser Spirits [modern level 30-50]
-Adamant spirits [former level 70] -> Greater Spirits [modern level 60-70]
-Runite and all new higher tier spirits [former level 85] -> Grand Spirits [modern level 80-90]

A rework like this translates the value of ore drops to be much closer to the value of those drops prior to the mining and smithing rework, without individually renovating drop tables. it also simplifies the somewhat bloated number of stone spirits and makes them more generally useful.

Would be best to just remove them, reasons why, if they did fix the drops to where our 50k+ drops worth of ore are 50k worth of spirits, they would crash. If they somehow added demand where say they acted as sign of porters while also x2 ores there still bound to be at least 25% cheaper than ore to be useful, could cause ores to crash. Then guess what, Skillers and PvMers back on forums needing another adjustment and so on. Idc if the replacement is less than before just want something that has a value not 200gp and less common.

Well, ores and spirits aren't going to be and shouldn't be as valuable as they were prior to M&S rework, since actually mining prior to the rework was miserable and slow so prices were artificially inflated. The problem right now isn't that the drops are simply worth less. The problem is they're worth almost nothing.

^That and they're common drops which is damaging.

No, converting to tiers would only tie their prices to the highest level ore within the tier or the highest value one. As it is currently tied to their respective ore prices, this would make almost no difference in fixing the real problem. °l||l° Modest Skillers T7 Citadel | Skilling clan recruiting players. °l||l°

It doesn't make much a difference from the position of 'if Jagex manually went through and reworked drop tables to the new mining tier distributions', but the meat of this proposal is an easier way to reach that point.

Basically, converting all the adamant spirit drops to a proper mix of Orichalcite, Dracolith, Necrite, and Phasmatite would do much the same thing as converting them to Greater Stone Spirits, but from a programming perspective it's much easier to so the latter.

I mean the alternative is to remove them but I feel that if stone spirits were common enough to actually be useful at higher tiers, they would be frequently used just to save time.
