I love incense sticks, but they take wayyyyy too long to make. It’s actually torture. Support if you agree...

I don’t think it would be over-powered to increase the speed of making the sticks/ adding the herbs and ashes to about the same rate as gem cutting.

Lower the xp per stick if you want... I don’t think anyone uses this as a primary xp method to FM anyways... as there are much faster ways of training firemaking (i.e. pitch can with attuned crystal teleport seed is over 1m Xp per hour)...

They are not supposed to be a fast training method for FM, but they're unique in the aspect you can earn firemaking xp, while also earning a few coins. But - it is only profitable because it is a bit inconvenient to do - and not too rewarding in the terms of xp/h, but that's the philosophy behind a lot of more modern skilling methods - the players who really want to do it can earn cash with it (see it akin to making bars or stuff for masterwork armour in smithing) - and those who don't should simply stick to traditional methods.

If you increase the amount of sticks you could push out per hour, while still gimping down the xp gained per log/ashes/herb you still would push down the value of them - and what they're good for then?

I would respectfully disagree... I mean you can correct me if I’m wrong, but I just don’t see anyone grinding out sticks for skilling profit. The only people that are making them are the people using them—it’s why they don’t buy on the GE... not enough liquidity...

—Alternatively, Playing The char mini game can yield you over 600K xp per hour... and chance of a pitch can that goes on the GE for about 14-16M. I got back to back pitch cans while charging my other two pitch cans and it basically paid for my 99 firemaking.

Also, I don’t think the price of the sticks would go down too much because the herbs themselves are embedded in the price.

And they’re good for the effects of course!
