Botting is not allowed, you can ask the 3,000 bots a day who get banned. Oh no wait, you can't because they got banned.

if you are expecting a ban the instant you report a bot, that is not how it works, they are banned at a later time, sometimes observed to see who they trade with and who their owner is then banned together all at once, or in sequence.
Hi.

Oh and also, you may be reporting accounts that you think are bots, but which actually are not. A lot of reports are made against accounts that turn out not to be bots. Just because it looks like a bot and acts like one, doesn't always mean it is one. But if it is, your report will help, so keep reporting them and Jagex will decide if they are a bot or not. Hi.

As others have helpfully pointed out, reporting players you think are breaking the rules is the best way to highlight this to Jagex and get action taken.

I can assure you that reports are always looked at, and if there is sufficient evidence, the respective accounts will have action taken against them. Obviously this can take some time, and it's not instant, but rest assured that botting is indeed an offense that is taken quite seriously.

why is botting allowed in this game, i legit give names of bots and nothing happen 2 them
theres so much proof

It's because Jagex doesn't mind bots. A lot of them pay membership. It also makes the game look bigger/more populated to beginners and investors. The bots also keep players playing for longer (takes longer to level skills with bots hogging spots, people like to PK bots, etc.)

It's pretty sad that Jagex is OK with bots, but it's where the game is at :(

There aren't ~3k bots a day banned. Jagex essentially only bans bots in "bot wave bans" which are becoming less and less common.

To some extend there's a truth in what is being said. Jagex had to reduce staff dramatically thus less power to do something about bots as they also are too much occupied with other things we don't have knowledge off.
All together that could have played in favor of bots and for the investors in favor of letting notice that RS3 is still occupied with a lot of players but real players, due to reporting, do have noticed that there's a large increase of bots thus not so much players playing RS3.

We can't continue saying it will take some time before bots are taken out where a lot of players do notice nothing happening at all.
So there's something serious going on and Jagex does need to change before everything is going to waste. That is really obvious.

That's leaving me with 1 thought only, are Jagex going to be infiltrated by 'RWT-companies' hiding themsleves as investors where at the moment Jagex is at its weakest?

There is some misinformation being spread in this thread.

I can assure you that NO, botting is not "allowed" in the game, nor is Jagex turning a blind eye to botting like you're suggesting - that's just flagrantly false.
