Any help appreciated.

I have been doing puzzle boxes for years, months, nothing has changed on my configurations or graphics.

I noticed it about a month a go, the puzzle box is all one colour making it impossible to work out what tiles are showing. The only way I can get round this is to go into settines and put graphics to low, which to be honest sucks.

Would someone tell me what setting to change instead of the whole game looking like crap.

It is 'not' a bug ... it's the difference in computers, High End $$$$$$$$ systems and $-budget systems.
High End Systems = great fast graphics / a lot to spend system memory / fast smoothy system are perfect to run any game capable and even have easily room for running other programs simultaneously
Budget Systems = low graphics / tight system memory / slow system are capable to run small less graphy programs simultaneously but would be better of without

To give them both the same advantage the game has been constructed this way. Both will have the 'same experience'. :)

Pretty sure it is a bug.

I've got a pretty decent setup and I've been having a few problems with colours recently.
I noticed it in the Dungeoneering room where the coloured spots move towards a central pillar... the spots weren't coloured, and as they're not very bright they're almost impossible to see.

The OP's problem sounds very similar.

I've sent in a bug report... but a workaround (which would probably work for tile puzzles too) is to turn off textures and blending until you've done the puzzle.
My morning poem: "Coffee, coffee, coffee, everyone shut up. Coffee."
