Twillowsaid: Yes, it does answer your question about why make this change:
The ogre flasks are now the preferred option since the March update. It makes sense that an Oo'glog resource, red sandstone, would match up with an Oo'glog object, ogre flasks, to facilitate using another Oo'glog resource, the ogre spa pool waters. I understand that you don't like it, but it makes sense.
Moreover, you have control over avoiding the mistake you made twice. Thank you - this explanation was not on the first page so no it was not explained. You have just explained it.
I feel there should be no defaults. As I stated on the first page, 7th post they removed the defaults from weaving divination, it use to alway have a default until I believe it was Monday gone they changed it to no default - so there are no making mistakes.
Can I ask how do you know the Ogre flask is the preferred option?? Was there a vote on it or did Jagex research it??
Dong†U†Deadsaid: Southeastersaid: With all due respect, all you had to do was to switch to potion flasks as soon as you saw that ogre flasks were being created.
If you went two entire days without realising that a completely different item was being crafted, that is entirely on you.
I have bought blue dragon leather for crafting vambraces daily challenges, and crafted blue d'hide shields by mistake because that was the default option. I have always stopped the process as soon as I saw the first shield being crafted. That has been like that for as long as I can remember. I'm talking about unnecessary changes or if they make a change why not make it so there is no default so players stop making costly mistakes.
No, the first day it happened, the second day I remembered and the third day I forgot.
Maybe I was reading chatbox, or typing in chatbox that is why I missed it happing?? I don't know or maybe I was just zoned out staring at the screen watching but not seeing - I don't know when things become habit sometime you just don't see even though you are watching - I can't explain it. I am sure you must know what I am talking about.
It is a bad change and I hope its reverted on Monday. Most people will want to craft glass into flasks for gp, or to have 6-dose pots obviously. Ogre spa flasks are really not in high demand and aren't tradeable anyway.
That being said, if you boss you may consider filling those ogre flasks in the thermal pool, as it buffs your total hp. I've been doing that with the flasks I made - also by mistake btw - and to be honest I'll use them from now on when I go Telos, Araxxi, Elite dungs and a few more toughies.
It was bugged ever since ogre flasks first came out back in March, this weeks update fixed them. If you don't know what the bug was when you make ogre flasks the next batch default back to normal flasks rather than remember the last item you made like every other craftable item in game works.
I get the fact the game forgets the last item you made if you lobby/log out but this was happening every time with ogre flasks.
No support for a revert to bring the bug back. Support for removable default as long as it still remembers the last item you made till you log out.
My sympathies with the OP. It is seriously off putting to change something people have habitually repeated for years. This results in intuitive reaction and since 10 robust glass are consumed to make one ogre flask, the OP would not have the time to react.
At least make the ogre flasks tradable so people can make bank of this thing. Although Iíd prefer having the default set to potion flasks seeing potions are more useful than spa pools.
I bet half of you on here werenít, or wouldnít be until seeing this post, as smart as you make it out here.
Why do you guys hate lies so much? There's only one truth, but endless possibilities for lies, y'know? And some of them are only white lies, or lies to be kind to people... If you deny all of that just because it's a lie then that means you guys are just terrible at being lied to!
