They're not just easy for me, they're easy for their intended slayers. It's because eoc made all pre-existing monsters super weak. Example: an imp had 80 hp before eoc, so should have at least 800 now, right? Preferably more since players deal damage more effectively. But they have 200. Similarly their offensive and defensie stats are too low as well. Dark beasts and abyssal demons are affected by this too. Health and max hits need to be doubled at least. It wouldn't even be an update per se, just a bug fix.


Thing is it's - while a legitimate concern - just one side of the medal: You can't just brainlessly buff mobs, while keeping their loot (which is for both currently decent to fairly good for the effort needed), xp (which currently is something between mediocre and decent) and slayer kill count (which is as they are so weak an high number - their combat stats were taken into account when the according task was designed) the same. You basically would just create two monsters most players would block - or at least skip - that way.

Basically when the stats are increased, loot and xp needs to be so accordingly as well and slayer kill counts need to be reduced proportionally. At least for abyssals they're planning to introduce 3 higher levelled variants (for slayer 95, 105, 115), which might justify a rebalancing of the existing variants + task (since the new ones will be able to be killed in place of the existing ones - and would create an extremely long task then). But the word is rebalancing/redesigning - not brainlessly increasing their stats.

Sure, I agree. Didn't say it's easy to fix.

Yet they arent currently "bugged" you and probably a small group think they're "too easy".

Well, I mean, one cannot deny that when EoC was released, all monsters' (except a few individuals, mostly bosses) stats were not simultaneously rebalanced to be more or less an equivalent combat encounter. Also look at quest bosses, monsters with level scaling, monsters still trying to apply disease, monsters with formerly special properties (e.g. abyssal walkers having extra high defence, guardians extra high strength, leeches extra high attack), and poison. The question now is whether that should be fixed post factum. You are of the opinion that it should not, if I interpret this correctly - I respectfully disagree.

I guess the literal intention just was to fix bottlenecks with dark beasts and abyssals. It's just part of a week to polish lots of aspects in combat, not the main update of said week.

I certainly don't support making Dark Beasts and Abyssal Demons much harder to kill just because there's a new resource dungeon that should be more exciting.

But if they wanted to expand the dungeon, and put in some more fierce monsters, far enough back so that they won't wander into the areas where people are merrily killing the lower-level monsters, I'd have no problem with that.

Well, yes. That was the intention.

In any event, between Dungeoneering 95 and 115, in addition to 100 there is still 105 and 110. So they could always make a new resource dungeon with some really fierce monsters comparable to the Edimmu that requires level 110 Dungeoneering in the future.
