Zaros went back to Freneskae? Elder Gods decided not to destroy Gielinor? Seren went back to taking a nap? Saradomin and Zamorak became best friendsies? Armadyl finally married his booboo and flew off into the sunset?

Will we ever see the awesome 6th age storylines continue or can we assume they are dead content? We haven't seen Zaros in almost 2 years. As a matter of fact we really haven't seen any God for 2 years (meme evil dave quest doesn't count). I really enjoy RS's 6th age storyline and I really hope it continues, but it seems recently Jagex has abandoned it in favor of (INSERT NOTABLE CONTENT HERE). I really hope within the next 5 years we see another Zaros quest because his story was really starting to ramp up.
ROLL TIDE ROLL

6th age is not death atm but most are on a hold because they decided to finish up some 5th age quests in order to continue the 6th.

The 6th quests are great and I would like to see them continue, but I do support finishing 5th first before we continue.

The 6th Age is not just about Zaros, the Elder Gods or any specific quest. It is the time line that starts from the Death of Guthix, much like A.D. and B.C. are used to tell the times before and after Christ, but they are not about Jesus and the Holy Trinity.

The 6th Age is going on strong in many many different areas, both with or without Zaros and the Elder Gods involved. To say the least, we have Elite Dungeons, Solak and PoF just recently.

And Jagex has hinted on the coming of the 7th Age of Gielinor probably sometime next year in an Alternate Reality. Fasten your seat belt.... oh did I say seat belt... like something we use in a modern time vehicle but not a Terrorbird Mount? :D

To be honest most people wanted to finish 5th age quest lines before getting into 6th age.
Jagex just rushed into 6th age, because have open lines is good strategy to keep people into the game.
Basically: Marketing trick.

^ This.
They kinda completed the pirate quest line this year.
They had to do a 2 parter to finish the Myreque.
Finishing the Plague quest series AND getting Priff was a pretty big undertaking.

In addition, Jagex mucked up their dev trying to do "expansions" with Menaphos + Slayer, but they invested so much time into it that dev over the rest of 2017 and into 2018 suffered.
THEN, they tried to do OSRS and RS3 on mobile. That's taken a lot more time than originally planned.
They've had a dev team doing almost nothing but the mining and smithing rework for almost all of 2018 so far.

Then you have 2 teams dedicated to "ninja" and "mtx", so that's another batch of focused dev.

So it's understandable why the 6th Age stories haven't progressed so far of late.

We know there is a 7th Age, so of course there will be future 6th Age quest that brings us to the 7th Age. Some quests along the 6th Age story line I think for sure we will have are the Dragonkin quests. Dragonkin Lab, Rebuilding Edgeville, etc are just something that set the stage for the Dragonkin to roar again. Elder God quests were mentioned too and you better believe someday some big Elder God problems that cause most of them to become stillborn will hit Gielinor and other planes. That will be the epilogue to the 6th Age.

Regarding the Jagex content development teams, there are 7 of them and one term was said to be working on a quest already.

There won't be a "7th Age" ... at least not in the player's normal play time.

Look, most of the canonical Ages lasted millenia. The 5th Age was the shortest at ~ 170 years.

We haven't had enough of a significant event in the 6th Age to require the time line, after only 5 years, to go to a 7th Age.
If they did that, then the concept of Ages becomes pointless, and pretty much anytime a king goes to the loo, they might as well call it a new Age.

It will likely be a 7th Age in Gielinor in at least one RS titles Jagex is currently working on or Gielinor will come to an end according to surveys/information Jagex passed onto some players.

https://www.reddit.com/r/runescape/comments/6meapa/what_announcement/dk103og/

Mod Balance acknowledge the development those RS titles... and the time line of one of them was said to be "at the end of the 6th Age".

Isn't it logical to have some quests, or at least significant lore in RS3 to show the players how we get to "the end of the 6th Age"?
