I am not sure if anyone else has noticed this, but removing Reaper Crew from Comp cape is a change I am all for, however it will also still require Music Maestro?

To me it seems it has been overlooked or forgotten because you would still NEED to go to these bosses just to unlock the music achievement, seems....redundant.

So perhaps remove the MM achievement too or at least remove the boss songs (still requiring getting the hundreds of others scatted around RS so still a challenge) hopefully someone can at least look into this because I feel this will almost instantly become the next issue with CC after the update.

I've been experimenting with this recently because I had a similar thought.

Most of the tracks can be unlocked solo, with a couple of exceptions:
- "Vorago" requires you to survive Vorago's initial attack before the fight begins, and that needs several players.
- "Guardians of the Grove" II and III are unlocked at specific phases in the Solak fight, so you have to take part in the battle.

This might change if it becomes possible to practice against specific phases of these fights in the future.

I am glad it isn't just me, thank you for experimenting on this topic. With any luck it might catch someones eye.

Feel free to add to this topic if yourself or anyone else finds a potential problem :)

Since music is an actual completable I don't think it should be removed like the two achievements - but they should probably introduce a stage based training mode for solak (afaik Shauny at least was supposed at one point to implement one akin to the one for yakamaru - albeit I don't know what happened in that aspect). Since Vorago is massable it shouldn't even be that much of an issue to score an actual kill there - let alone getting the music track. Improvements: Tooltip / (F2P) QoL v2
Quick Fixes: Invention

pretty sure you can just dtd your way through the boss to unlock the music tracks so it's not really an issue

If you mean deathtouch darts, then no. They don't work on several group bosses including Solak, Nex AOD, Durzag or Yakamaru (but as noted this isn't needed. In most cases just entering the arena is sufficient.)

I agree on that, it would be a pity if Music Maesto got removed. Something should be done for the raids bosses as well though, at least a way to let a solo player take a peak at the bosses in some way, to unlock the music tracks.

I think just remove it due to the stupid comments on this thread.

For raids it is actually possible already - albeit a bit cumbersome:

You need to open up a raid group via the grouping interface (not sure if you need a second player to actually start it then) and teleport yourself with it to mazcab. When the group runs you can choose whatever stage of the raid you want to try. For the second Yakamaru track you'll need to be able to deal a bit of damage to it to trigger the stage (nothing too hard - get a decent weapon and a bit of food and survive for long enough). I don't know how it worked for the beastmaster in detail though.

Most other bosses are massable and/or accessible with an easy mode - so that just leaves Solak out, which would need a more sophisticated practice mode akin to the one used at raids. You wouldn't need to be able to beat the stuff after all.
